Owner description: Glasgow Tigers Speedway is Glasgow's only true motorsport venue. Glasgow Tigers compete in the Premier League of UK speedway and race every Saturday at 19:00 from March to October. There are also occasional midweek races. Speedway is a fast and exhilarating sport and involves motorbikes, with no brakes, whizzing around an oval circuit at speeds of up to 70 mph. Speedway is also a family sport where kids can get involved with the 'Growlers' Club' and get to meet Roary, our Tiger Mascot. Glasgow Tigers' facility is one of the best in UK speedway and has fantastic catering facilities, a bar and some great viewing areas. The stadium is also fully wheelchair accessible.

“Motorsport in the city”

Where else can you find a motorsports venue within a city, well pop along to Ashfield Stadium on a Sundat afternoon between 4pm and 6.30pm. A great family sport with no signs of trouble between rival fans, infact they stand together in the same parts of the stadium. Plus of course children under 12 go free with a paying adult. So for a great day out head to the speedway and surport the Tigers.

“Get there early, buy a programme, sit back and enjoy!”
Reviewed 16 June 2009

The racing starts at 4pm so avoid the queues and get there early, buy a programme and a snack and then sit back and enjoy. I found you got a good view from the stand and most folk were friendly - they even clapped the opposition riders! There are 2 announcers that keep you informed but a programme certainly helped. The courage and skill of the riders is unbelievable, yet they seem to be down to earth and very approachable. They posed for photos with the fans and were happy to sign autographs. All in all a great family day out! Oh and as another reviewer said kids under 12 get in for free if accompanied by an adult - great value.

“Excellent FAMILY fun!!”
Reviewed 10 June 2009

We were looking for something to do for a day out in Glasgow. There are only so many times you can go to the cinema, xscape etc.

We took the little one there and were shocked to realise we got him in FREE with a paying adult (he's 11, I think it stops at 12). He loved it. The speed, sound, entertainment on offer was great and for less than £15 each!. You'd pay that on a day out to the cinema or M&Ds!

We'll definately be back again!
