We stayed last weekend - needed a city centre hotel.. It was slightly more expensive but full Scottish breakfast was included in the price... The rooms were gorgeous... Lovely marble bath.. Free wifi throughout hotel! The staff were fabulous.. Well trained, you but great communication skills... Nice to talk to and they were genuinely interested in you... It's a definite return for us!

Arrived just after 5pm for a attending a function in the city at 6.30pm room not ready, receptionist started keying in, then flicking through a book for one minute I thought they were overbooked but no, just not ready, asked to sit in the bar and wait, no free area in the bar so sat in the lobby area with our drinks, after half an hour returned to reception. They could not even remember room allocated, fortunately the Concierge was on the ball he remembered our room number from takng our bags, reception checked with housekeeping still not ready. I explained we were now running out of time to eat get changed for attending a function, again asked to wait and she would contact us. Finally got into our room an hour after arriving at 6pm.
Room is as others have described, very limited room service, two burgers (including a soft drink or wine (£39.90) and very over cooked.
The late check in did make us late for the function.
Breakfast next morning - very good cold selection, service very slow, finally had to ask to get our hot food order taken as other tables who arrived long after us had been served with breakfast before our order was even taken.
The most efficient service of the hotel was the valet parking £27.70.
Only other issue was the hotel guide in the room had pages torn out it would have been good to read about its past history but another guest had ripped it out, but everything should be checked, certainly not a 5 star experience on this visit.

We arrived at the hotel, checked in and shown to our room... Staff all very polite and good communication skills. Breakfast on Sunday morning excellent and again staff attentive, polite and happy! The room was very nice and comfortable... Loved the marble bathroom and the overall design.

We spent a lovely weekend here (one night) with some friends. It is a lovely hotel and you are made to feel like a VIP throughout. The rooms had stylish decor and were spotless with ironing boards, free movies etc, food was very very good and the service very attentive. It is however quite expensive (check out the Spa prices online....although it was one of the best massages I have ever had!). The only thing that bothered me was that the decor, although very tasteful and stylish, was quite dark and the lights seemed to be dimmed everywhere for effect (in fact, in the Spa area I at first thought they must be broken it was so dark!) - but it was to the point that you couldn't read menus etc properly and I just wanted someone to turn the lights up! Nice for a day or two but the lack of light (esp during the scottish winter) would drive me nuts if I worked there!

Room Tip: all the rooms seen appeared of similar high standard

My boyfriend and I were in Glasgow for the weekend and decided to splash out on what we'd heard was Glasgow's nicest hotel. It certainly didn't disappoint. The room was lovely, with modern decor and the bed was huge and incredibly comfy. Sky movies also came included in the price of the room, which was a nice touch.
There is a spa in the hotel, which guests are allowed to use free of charge during certain hours (7am til 9am and 6pm to 9pm). Personally I think the spa should be available to guests at all times or these hours should be extended, but this is my only criticism. It was one of the nicest spas I've been to and if you can't go in the designated free hours it's probably worth paying the extra £20 to access it outside of these hours.
We also ate one evening meal at the restaurant and the food was delicious.
Definitely a hotel worth visiting!

Stayed at the hotel as a gift from my wife. On arrival the room wasn't ready even though it was 3pm, however to the credit of reception and concierge our bags were placed in our room when ready and we received a call on my mobile to inform me of this. The room had everything you'd expect for the price we paid ,although slightly disappointed by the lack of interior colour, a bit grey and lack of personality or uniqueness. The spa was excellent, can't say much more than that. We booked dinner in the restaurant and overall the meal was fabulous. The starter of seared scallops , cooked to perfection, however mean with the portion size for £10.50, you only get one and a half scallops, cut into three. To follow the mains courses were faultless, the duck and lamb both perfect, however just slightly warm, although I under stand as there was a lot of creativeness on the plate. The desserts lacked finesse, the chocolate mousse was exactly that, very plain as was the date pudding, although the quality was still to a very high standard, just needed that little extra like the main courses. The waiter was relaxed and confident in his position, couldn't fault his unobtrusive service, the wine was also chilled well and served without being pushy. All in all a great stay until we tried to sleep, the windows don't keep the street noise out, especially when the clubs shut at 3 am , unfortunate that someone chose to be sick outside our window, Also deliveries during the early hours didn't help. This is expected though due to its central location. The only other issue we had was the cost to park, other nearby hotels have agreed set nightly rates of around £10 per night. The Qpark was around £24, and the hotel valet around £29. I really enjoyed our stay and would return , although I do hope my issues raised benefit the GM in changing some minor issues raised in this review.
