We had a lovely experience at this hotel, though you do have to splurge to stay here. Beautiful hotel and great food. everything was excellent except I do have to say that the rooms were a little dark. Overall we had a great time. Definately a couples hotel rather than a family hotel.

Went here for a pre-dinner cocktail early on a Saturday evening. We waited around 15+mins before being served. Way too long given that they were not too busy. The cocktails arrived and they were very nice indeed but took far too long to arrive. Would we go back, probably not.

I've stayed at Blythswood Square around half a dozen times and only ever had positive things to say. Sadly, on our latest stay, I fell a little bit out of love with my favourite home town hotel. The major let-down was the room. We've previously stayed in the older section and loved it, and this time also requested a room there. The reservations staff did explain there weren't many classic rooms there but would try to meet our request. I think we may have been upgraded once or twice on previous stays but on being shown to our gloomy ground floor room we felt sorely disappointed. It had a dismal view overlooking a street and there was no natural light at all. The bathroom, as ever, was fantastic, so as it was for one night we decided to live with it. Big mistake. The room turned out be very noisy - with the constant buzz from the air conditioning unit on one side and the hum of traffic on the other. By the time we fully appreciated just how noisy it was too late to request a move. We have young children so a good nights' sleep is a must. One the upside, it's still the most comfortable bed we've ever slept in.
We were staying on the Sunday night rate which included DBB, and dinner was good. But when we got the bill I was surprised to see that a 10 per cent service charge is now automatically added, and even more surprised to be charged £3.50 for a peppermint tea - more expensive than a coffee. I'm happy to pay a premium for the luxury and fabulous service at the hotel, but thought this excessive. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic - but I'd hate to be paying £16.50 for it!
The service at the hotel is second to none, and the staff are really friendly without being overbearing. Our comments were noted on check out and we will go back - but will be very careful about which room we get. I love this hotel and really look forward to our little escapes here and would like to fall back in love with it.

Room Tip: Don't request a room one in the old part of the hotel unless you upgrade from a classic room

Another addition to a growing number of great hotels in Glasgow...it isnt at the cheeper end of the market but its worth the money.
Great rooms with powerful showers, goo sized rooms, enjoyable breakfast and attentive service.
Didnt have dinner here but the client I was meeting now stays here on his travels to Glasgow and recommend's the restuarant.

I have stayed at The Blythswood Square Hotel, Glasgow on more than one occasion; I choose it over others not because of price but for the service, quality of decor, food and the Spa - each in its own way, adding to the pleasure of staying at The Blythswood.

I have only stayed overnight hence only eaten breakfast which was more than adequate in the quality and quantity of food provided.

The Spa area is exceptional and the perfect way to relax before or after a journey. The decor perfectly balances the size of the rooms with the requirements of today's needs: all sound music; quality lighting; TV and radio; comfortable bedding.

The hotel is well situated for accessing all aspects of Glasgow's cultural life.

I have no hesitation in recommending The Blythswood to any discerning traveller.

My fiance and I were given an overnight dinner, b&b stay at the junior suite and booked a weekend to celebrate our engagement.
The suite was amazing, really spacious, with a small outdoor area to enjoy a pre-dinner drink or just chill out. The bathroom was just stunning with a huge bath and a fantastic power shower.
We had few cocktails in the 1st floor bar before we sat down for dinner. The cocktails were amazing and service was fantastic, our waiter made sure we were happy and we felt looked after.
The restaurant was buzzing and the menu was to die for - we didn't know what to choose, there were so many appealing courses on the menu. I ended up going for the sea bass with anchovy crushed potatoes and my fiance had rib eye steak cooked to perfection.
Again, we felt that the staff looked after us all evening to make sure we had a nice time.
For breakfast we chose to have a mix of the buffet - big selection of continental breakfast, fruit salad, juices - and we also had eggs benedict from the cooked menu.

We had a fantastic full body masage and a facial on Saturday and enjoyed some time in the spa prior to our treatments. I would highly recommend for anyone staying at Blythswood that they enjoy the spa, it's an experience of its own.

All in all, we had a fantastic weekend and hope that we can return soon!

Had another superb afternoon in the restaraunt to celebrate a birthday. Prosecco was delicious, service as always second to none and food heavenly. This will be our favourite hotel / restaurant for some time to come.
