I visited this hotel in December for a Christmas night out, to be brief, lovely hotel, lovely staff.
Dropped an earring getting ready and when looking for it found a worn/ soiled 'pop sock'
Told the receptionist on way out of hotel, she was suitably appalled and said Housekeeping would deal immediately.
I had night out and on return the offending item still there.
I pointed this out again on way to breakfast and after eating and returning to room....still there...Disgusting.
Regardless of hygiene element the act it was pointed out twice and nothing done made me mad.
Lovely building, nice rooms although cleaning of poor standard if rogue items slip through quality check.
Put me off returning.

We stay here on business and have to say its a fantastic hotel. Chic entrance and amazing decor which then extends into the rooms - which are well designed, exceptionally comfortable beds and luxury bathrooms. Breakfast excellent and a good place to entertain clients in the evening. Restaurant meals also good and staff very friendly.

Downsides are the size of the room (which are small compared to other hotels in the city), confusing room layout, and lack of view from the windows. But these are fairly minor - and certainly wouldnt consider staying anywhere else!

It felt like we had escaped from reality for a couple of days staying at Blythswood Square. Our room was incredible looking out on to the square, absolute luxury and incredibly clean. The beds were extremely comfortable and offered a great nights sleep. Following cocktails in the bar (an amazing choice) we dined in the restaurant. The quality and presentation of the food was second to none, opted for the creme brulee two nights in a row as it was so delicious, a real treat.
The spa was equally perfect, we didn't want to leave. Above all the customer service and staff were excellent and a credit to the hotel. A return visit is a must.

My wife and I stayed overnight at the Blythswood Square to mark her 40th birthday and it will live long in the memory.
The kindness and hospitality shown to us, and to our friends, who spent the afternoon and early evening partying in the Salon Bar was second to none.
The reserved lounge area, the upgraded room, the 'happy birthday'
message and chocolates on the chalkboard and the glasses of champagne all contributed to making her 40th an extra special occasion.
We wanted to take the bathroom and shower suite home with us, as it was so luxurious!
The thoughtfulness and professionalism of the hotel staff was very much appreciated, and we will certainly be back!
We didn't manage to squeeze in a visit to the Spa but we will hopefully manage to do so next time.

Room Tip: We stayed on the 4th floor which was really peaceful. Best sleep we have had in years. We didn't...

I've stayed at this hotel before and we booked last minute to go down to Glasgow for my niece's christening in between Christmas and New Year. The hotel is beautifully decorated and the staff couldn't be more helpful. The food is great and the cocktails are fantastic! We were given a room on the lower ground floor and it felt a lot more cramped than the room I'd previously had on the 1st floor. Unfortunately the rooom we were allocated had a window that couldn't be opened. I have to sleep with the window open so this resulted in a very uncomfortable night with very little sleep for me. However, when I mentioned this the following day to the receptionist she advised they wouldn't give me a room without and window that could open on any return visits. Although I had a terrible sleep I would definitely stay here again. The location is fantastic and the staff are a credit to this lovely hotel.

Room Tip: If you need a room with a window that opens make sure you ask for this!

We stayed for 3 nights over Hogmanay and had a fabulous time. The rooms are lovely, staff very friendly and helpful and the food was beautiful, especially on Hogmanay when the restaurant was very busy. However the entertainment that went with the Hogmanay package was dreadful. In the cocktail bar there was a very low key jazz band and the countdown to the bells was a shambles. The DJ in the function suite was absolutely shocking - as evidenced by the low numbers there and the high number of people that came in and didn't stay. Such a shame because the build up and dinner were fantastic.
The spa is highly recommended.
