This hotel falls into the same old bracket of syle over substance, showy glossy lobby/public areas whilst the standard rooms in a modern extension at the back were Premier Innesque, bog standard shocking view into an internal yard where all the rooms just look into each other no privacy at all, bed and bathroom had shocking lighting, had to double check make up in daylight once outside due to the "mood" lighting which was a mood too far, seats in cocktail bar were stained and scruffy as were quite a few of the staff uniforms, our cooked breakfasts were luke warm on both days, uncooked tomato, slimy field mushroom, wet poor quality grey bacon, fat saturated tatty scone, the staff are the saving grace all polite knowledable if a little scruffy, I'm sure the rooms in the main original building have much more of the intended character, but for the masses in a "deluxe" double I'd spend very slightly less at Radisson Blu or considerably less at a Premier Inn

Room Tip: Didn't use the spa as residents are restricted to before 9 or after 6pm !

What a wonderful experience! From the moment we arrived (and we arrived early) to find out that our room was available was a real bonus.Standard and cleanliness of the room certainly did not disappoint. Reception staff extremely friendly and helpful. The Salon Bar is a must and the young barman Graeme was superb. We sat at the bar and enjoyed the whole buzz of the place while tasting a couple of their very exciting cocktails. This is a must when visiting the Blythswood. The spa was outstanding and again the staff were very friendly and helpful. After the benefits of the spa we experienced a beautiful breakfast with a wonderful selection of freshly prepared dishes. One last thing worth a mention is the quality of the bed -amazing. Will certainly return for future celebrations.

Beautiful 5 star standard rooms, spa is first class although if you don't want to pay extra for this you need to go early morning or evening. Beautiful breakfast with great buffet or a la carte selection. Service good and excellent location. Actually nothing negative to say at all and I'm quite hard to please

I booked this hotel for my fiancée and I and when we arrived we were very welcome and staff at reception was VERY friendly and polite. A guy showed us to our room carried our bags and was very chatty and conversed very well with us. We had gone to the spa which is absolutely amazing out of this world. The bar was very good. We went and got a bottle of wine and the barman had taken it to our room in an ice bucket. Very well organised and quick. The breakfasts are fantastic!
I would highly recommend this hotel and it is wonderful!

Second visit this year (previously in April) again a warm friendly welcome from reception staff, and doorman who valet parked our car, Room on 1st floor, large room with a large separate toilet/shower area, supplied with gorgeous bath/ shower gels etc then a room with a beautiful free standing bath, huge comfy bed, flat screen tv, plenty hanging space and drawers, fridge & tea making facilities, & a large couch to sit on, and all serviced to a very high standard. The Salon Bar with very friendly staff, (who make the most delicious cocktails), again we sat at the bar to watch the different cocktails being made, even strayed from the usual Mohitjo to try one made with apple, so thank you to Corrie, Rob, Scott etc for being excellent barmen. Excellent breakfast, choose from menu for hot food from full scottish to salmon / eggs benedict, with juice yogurt porridge, something to suit everyone, all served by friendly smiley staff. Afternoon teas still very popular, always busy. Look forward to our next stay with you :)

We stayed here during the last week in August and cannot say enough good things about the place. The customer service, in particular, is outstanding. We arrived quite early and the staff went out of their way to check us in we'll before the usual time, which was greatly appreciated because we were exhausted. The hotel is very close to sights and shopping but quiet, overlooking Blythswood Square. The bed was very comfortable and the room was much large than a lot of European hotel rooms. We had a large bathroom too, with a shower and separate tub. The workout room is small but with good equipment. The breakfast, included with our room, was huge and delicious. We faced the interior courtyard, which was quiet but not particularly scenic.

We will definitely return!

Room Tip: Higher and facing the street would have been our first choice but not directly above the bar.
