Stayed for a couple of nights and was immediately impressed by the room which for £275.00 per night B&B basis, I should be ! Lovely large bed, good work table with plenty of plugs, well directed lights and widescreen TV. The bathroom was exceptional with large bath, good towels, washbasin with wide surround to lay out toiletries, walk-in power shower and wc that could be shut-off as required. My concern was that hotel heating was working overtime when Glasgow had a mini heatwave and the room a/c was unsatisfactory to cool the room. As a senior citizen with reducing mobility, I would have liked safety handles to make easy access for both the shower and bath. The food at the corporate event was very good and service also enthusiastic but breakfast in the main dining room disappointed. Two fried eggs with hard yolks, poor quality sausage, toast arriving too early, luke warm coffee, poor selection of pastries. Not good value at £16.50 for the Full Scottish. However, on balance I enjoyed my stay and would return.

Room Tip: With very good noise absorption from external roads and adjacent rooms, I suspect that all rooms are...

Gorgeous setting, well appointed room, helpful staff. Only quibble is that the room was not very well lit (in fact fairly dark). Otherwise among the best ever. Well located, in walking distance to almost everything.

Booked the "Duchess of Bedford Afternoon Tea" at £22 per person. No tablecloths, just plain table. First shock was when the waiter gave us cutlery by holding the cake fork by the tines and the teaspoon by the bowl. Tea was served quickly enough, but we had a long wait for the food. We had to ask 2 different staff members for milk. Three of my five sandwiches had vegetarian fillings. Scones with jam and cream were delicious. Cakes very disappointing. Carrot cake was dry and artificial tasting. Small meringue was tasteless. Have had much better afternoon teas elsewhere. Shocked to see dishwasher trays of clean glasses brought through the public areas. Also surprised to see a Hellman's mayonnaise bucket used to bring ice to the bar. Not a 5 star experience.

My first time at Blythswood Square and I was pretty impressed. Stylish decor that is all fresh and clean; tasteful, relaxing room with cracking bathroom; lovely toiletries; friendly helpful staff; great breakfast (best porridge I've had). No negatives at all. Shame we didn't get a chance to use the spa as we had heard great things about it.
We will definitely stay again at Blythswood for our next time in Glasgow.

Myself and partner stayed here as part of a corporate weekend. We both travel and stay in many hotels, this by far was the best we have stayed in. The staff are very friendly and attentive, the bed was the most comfortable I have slept on in a hotel. The setting is beautiful, although in the centre of Glasgow.
If you do not have a lovely time here, then something is wrong.

Stayed overnight with my wife, had dinner in restaurant which was great, pleasant staff and great food. Our room was spacious, overlooking the sun terrace.
Breakfast was both continental and full Scottish (cooked to order).
Will definitely return to stay and make use of spa. We were going out for the night and did not have time to sample these facilities.

Great hotel!! It feels so upscale and lovely. The spa is also a dream, and was the perfect way to unwind after a long journey. We also greatly enjoyed breakfast, which boasts a bloody mary bar and full breakfast. Thanks for a lovely stay!
