Stayed here a couple of times with work and really enjoy it. It ia stillnall very new but the rooms are spot on with an excellent surround sound system where you can plug in your own iPod, and very nice design. Restaurant is good and the bar staff and food are A1. Central location tops it off. Used to stay at the Hilton but have changed due to this place. Gym and Spa open 1st September which will be great.

Stayed here with my husband last weekend. The hotel is fabulous, staff welcoming and professional and the rooms amazing. We were lucky enough to get upgraded on our arrival and had a beautiful room overlooking the square. The room had everything we could have needed, we hardly wanted to leave it, however when you do it is literally minutes from the shops and bars of the city centre. We finished our night with cocktails and whisky in the salon. We've stayed in lots of hotels in Glasgow and this is definitely our favourite - I can't wait for the spa to open! Highly highly recommended.

We stayed 2 nights, and everything was very good. Online booking flawless, reasonably good value, excellent location. Staff was very nice. Room was spotless. We had to think hard to find anything negative, and all we could come up with was the decor in the lobby with these red niches that reminded us of a house of ... well, never mind. We would stay there again and recommend it. Oh, that and it was hard to find, not a prominent sign visible from the street.

I really enjoyed this hotel. While booking was a challenge through the website for some reason, upon contacting the hotel directly, they were very friendly and helpful. I booked two nights (both with breakfast, one with dinner too). The room was a nice size and the bathroom was great, big tub, huge separate shower stall. The only (minor) glitch was that a couple of the bathroom products had been used previously. When I brought this to the staff's attention, they immediately fixed it and there were no other problems. Breakfast buffet was good (love all the breads and cheeses), you could also order off menu, although i didnt. You can pay for a newspaper to your room, but dont, because there were ample papers outside the restaurant at breakfast. The dinner I booked was really good, it was off a price fixe menu and i was hesitant as i didnt recognize the foods (or at least the way the foods were described) - however, it was delicious. Had an appetizer, tried a new fish and went with the servers recommended dessert - Really tasty. The front desk staff and the conceirge went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. I'd just been staying at a hotel that was about double the cost and some of the lack of details made that hotel less luxurious, this hotel was less price and definitely paid attention to details.

Stayed here for our anniversary, choose the hotel as it was ranked 1 on Trip Advisor. Location is great 5-10 min walk and you are in the city. Parking at the hotel is a bit of a nightmare, you can pay £25 for valet parking, not worth it for a one night stay. We choose to park outside the hotel, you can only park for a maximum of 2 hours, after 6pm it is then free. We had asked for a quiet room, when we checked in we were allocated a room on the reception level, looking onto the park(not quiet), anyway we asked to be moved and we were a couple of hours later, we had booked a deluxe room. Room was very nice with a very comfortable king size bed. Breakfast the next morning was a complete shambles, they only serve up to 10am even on a Sunday morning, any other hotel we have stayed in has been a lot later. We arrived down to the restaurant at 09.40, we were then advised it would be a 5-10 min wait. We were asked to take a seat in the foyer and they would bring us out tea and coffee. No seats to be had as the hotel was fully booked on the Saturday night, so there we were standing with our cups of tea and coffee in our hands, when they brought the refreshments there was no milk/sugar or tea spoons! Not what I would expect from a 5 star hotel. The breakfast buffet I thought was very poor for a hotel of this standard, anything hot you had to order. In my opinion they should have opened up an extra room to accommodate everyone for breakfast, they know what the occupancy is going to be and most people on a Sunday morning are going to come down late and have a long lie and a leisurely breakfast. When we checked out the clerk asked if we had enjoyed our stay, I said there were a few issues, she then said would you like to speak to a duty manager and we did, we expressed our concerns and she said she would be in touch. I think the hotel has still a lot to do to be accredited with a 5 star status .Would I recommend to a friend - give it another 6 months.

Everything about the hotel was first class. The rooms not huge but very good and well equipped, the staff superb, friendly and always smiling. Would not consider another hotel in Glasgow in the future. I hope they keep up their standards.

Booked a 'wee classic' for £118 including full scottish breakfast for 2.

This well positioned hotel is absolutley stunning, decor at reception area is airy and very open with plush sofas/chairs, cozy and intimate surroundings in the rally bar/restaurant (breakfast was immense, excellent choice, fantastic quality local produce, fast, efficient service!)
Our room was the 'wee classic'... Lovely quality interiors in the bedroom, huge and extremely comfortable bed! funky surround sound in the bathroom, choice of bath and a monsoon shower (rare in a room so small) and FREE up to the minute movies (you wont want to leave your room!) All in all this is a truly 5* hotel, pretty much faultless from check in to check out.

My only fault and im being picky here is..... no towel radiator is a bit of a downside... i like a warm towel! Much needed hotel for glasgow.. i can only compare to One Devonshire Gardens. Looking very much to trying the other rooms and the Spa when it opens.
