It is ok.
Not enough to be a 'hip hotel'.
Rooms are ok, not great.
Beds and pillows are not comfy.
Breakfast is very average.

Stayed here for 1 night travelling on business. The rooms initially look great, but after a while you realize they've been designed to look good rather than function properly. Tea/Coffee on teh bottom shelf of a tall cupboade where the door opens away from the wall, making it very difficult to get to that bottom shelf. Settee and Coffee Table at the end of the bed making it an obstacle course to get round that side of the room. Air Con lights all came on, but has zero effect on the heat in the room, making it a very uncomfortable night. Like I say, it looks great, but style seems to have triumphed over substance.

My Husband and I stayed in this hotel for one night just for a little break and the only bad thing I could say is that I,m sorry we only did 1 night. The rooms were out out of this world and the staff were all friendly and professional. The breakfast in the morning was very nice and cooked fresh. The service we received was second to none and I would not hesitate to stay here again.

The hotel is beautiful with fresh modern decor. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms lovely. The plug situation is poor- I had to kneel on the floor at a mirror to do my hair! The kettle had to go on the floor as well. The main issue we had was a loud droning noise which woke us up throughout the night. I am sure it is not the first the staff knew of it. When it came back in the evening we asked to be moved- this was whilst we were getting ready to go out- minutes later the phone rang asking if we could vacate ours rooms immediately! It really looked like they wanted to use this room that night. Not overly impressed with the service- when this was pointed out the following day, we were refunded £50, but I am being cynical in saying i think this was juts the lower cost of the room we moved to!
The location is excellent, lots of restaurants nearby.

We stayed on a Sunday night special: dinner, bed and continental breakfast. The classic room is beautiful with a huge bed and very comfortable pillows. The decor is warm and modern: all soft furnishings are Harris tweed. The bathroom is very luxurious with a big bath and separate walk-in shower. All staff were friendly, efficient and polite and the standard of cleanliness is very high. The spa is gorgeous especially in the evening when the lights are set to twilight - very pampering!
Dinner was a 3 course set menu, which was lovely, but perhaps not the best we've ever had. Probably because we stuck to the set courses rather than having choosing from the more extensive a la carte menu.
All in all a luxurious treat!

We travelled to Glasgow for a business/celebratory dinner (in the hotel) and stayed for one night (24 hours). We were delighted with everything, from the complimentary films, lovely breakfast, luxurious room to the excellent service and smiling staff. We spent the next morning in the spa and were given complimentary extra time in our room to enable us to shower before lunch. The food at the dinner was excellent - perhaps the best lamb I have ever tasted.

The service was delivered with a smile and our requests were promptly dealt with. It was so nice there that we never actually left the hotel!

After a previous poor experience at the Glasgow Hotel du Vin we were delighted. Well done!!

We stayed for one night. The weather was miserable so we decided to just relax in the room. Therefore the superb (free) video on demand system was a very pleasant surprise.

The rooms are a nice size, are well appointed, and clean.

The beds were large, and comfortable.

Breakfast was very good. A good continental selection. A good fryup. And the first hotel I've stayed in where there is a 'bloody mary' station at breakfast, for those that have been out on the bevvie the night before. Only in glasgow :-)
