“Great food - and good service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 February 2014

Have used this place a few times now, and have always been very happy with what we have had to eat and the way that it has been served.

With a daughter at Uni just around the corner it is convenient to arrange to meet up with her from time to time.

Range of menu is excellent, and the quality of the food is also very good - and there is a good choice of small plates as well as bigger dishes -depending on appetite, and for a city centre place, it is reasonalby priced.

Yes - it can be busy (it is clearly popular with lots of folk - mix of students, professionals and casual diners) and yes - sometimes you have to wait for a table, and yes - sometimes the food can take a bit longer to get to you, but then again, well-cooked good food does take longer and needs more care does it not?

There are other options if it is fast food that you are looking for on the High St!

The staff are good - and they do care - and having been there half a dozen times in the last 6 months have never had reason to question this.

So, in summary - it is a busy and popular place - mainly because what the do and serve is good and at a fair price, so give it a try (and more than just once).

If it was empty, then the conclusion would be that it does none of the above surely?

“Bad choice for brunch”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 January 2014

This review is going to be short as we visited for brunch rather than a full meal. Coffee arrived some time before my sourdough toast so I was left to drink barely warm coffee with my toast. I can burn toast with the best of them but when I do I bin it. Not here as someone thought "what the heck they wont notice". I did notice and if you cant get toast right I have no interest in a return visit. I was resolved to answer honestly but no-one bothered to ask if everything was ok. Got the impression that this place does not care much about its customers.

“Loved it!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 November 2013

Lunch for four but so difficult to decide between all the interesting choices, so we just had to sample and share. Great service and good decaf coffee, which makes a change in my experience.

“shame about the cleanliness :(”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 November 2013

this amazing deli/ restaurant deserves a better standard of cleanliness...........it is the most amazing food deliverer but I was embarassed when taking a friend there for the first time to see just so much dust, dirt etc around the dining area & the toilet. The food is still amazing but & it is a big BUT you need to look at what the diners see when not looking at their plates

“Charming place in West End”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 November 2013

Been a few times, usually for coffee & cake only so can't comment on the regular food menu or service. Quite a few neg reviews about the service but I've maybe been lucky. It is very busy & I'd avoid lunchtime. Bit pricy but Overall a lovely little place in heart of vibrant & beautiful west end.
