“What an experience!!”

Stayed overnight on way up north - everything was marvellous - especially the shower and the huge bed. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Would recommend to anyone. Very convenient for train and bus, merchant city, shopping and eating.

Would appear to cater for younger people, but old fogies like us who are still young at heart thought it great too!

Another comfortable night at Citizen M Glasgow! What can I say - I love the bed, the rain shower the free movies and the mood lighting. We prepaid for breakfast this time and although it's all precooked and sitting under heat lamps we must have been lucky enough to come down at the time that it was still all fresh. So, overall, a very good experience. Could be improved by the provision of a hot drinks facility in the rooms.

Had an amazing stay at CitizenM Glasgow. It is the coolest hotel in the country, so modern and would reccomend to absolutely everyone and anyone. I live in Dundee not far from Glasgow, but CitizenM makes me want to go to Glasgow every weekend. Class.

My husband was enchanted by the rainforest shower in the online review and was not disappointed with the real thing! The rooms are not what most Americans expect. They are clean and well appointed but they are not spacious and certainly not intended for people who want to veg in the room and not get out into the city. The bed was beyond comfortable and HUGE, the mood lighting option was fun, the Staff when they were needed were outstanding.
If this is your first time be prepared, the lobby reminded me of the lounge in the Star Ship Enterprise. and the check in Kiosk's were user friendly and encourage the guest to take charge of their own check in and check out. Food was always available and delicious, the Scottish Breakfast was reasonably priced and happily I could choose as little or as much of any particular option as liked.
I must say I missed my coffee machine, but I got over it, and if it had rained my claustrophobia would likely have kicked in. (The rooms are probably 10 feet wide by 30 something) And should I admit I had trouble operating the remote?? Otherwise this is a must try, and probably must love location!

Room Tip: Rooms either face the city or the courtyard, we took the city but the view was not remarkable. I don...

I just returned from my THIRD visit to this hotel in 10 months. I have been twice with my Boyfriend and once with a friend. I cannot express how much I LOVE this place.
Firstly, I will list potential cons for those who don't know much about the hotel.

No Kettle/ tea coffee - though there are 2 cups provided for juice/water etc.
Sink is outside of bathroom
Bin is Small
Bathroom is entirely frosted glass so you can see when someone is near the glass.
No wardrobe space. - however there is a HUGE drawer under the bed that you can fit a person in, we actually tried it, I could close it with my friend inside it.

However none of this made any difference to me whatsoever. I was only there for one night so I don't need a huge amount of storage space, I plan to have fun and pig out not sit and drink tea. I can take out any rubbish that doesn't fit in the bin .As for the "see through" shower, I personally found it quite fun. When travelling as a couple presumably you don't mind seeing the outline of your partner showering, and when I was with my friend we had a great laugh pulling faces at each other through the glass. The point of this hotel is that your room is basically a luxiurious, cool version of your bedroom and that's it. The key word being BEDROOM. You wouldn't have an ironing board, a kettle and a big bin in your bedroom at home would you ?

The Check in is self service but there is always a friendly staff member around to help you out.

It's wonderfully stylish, and yes the remote is a little slow in terms of connectivity and can seem a little complicated, but it's not impossible. The mood pad lighting is so beautiful and the window and bed are spectacularly huge. Also, the pillows and bedding are SO comfortable, seriously, it's like sleeping on a cloud. And there are 2 extra pillows in the storage drawer if you need them.

I have had breakfast once, and it was delicious, though a little pricy. It's £6.95 if you book it with the room or £9.95 to get it that morning. My boyfriend hadn't put down 2 breakfasts when booking but the girl at check in kindly just added me on at the £6.95 price. The food was cooked brilliantly - buffet style but minus the kind of "herd of cattle" feeling that usually comes with a buffet breakfast. Cool Large Black plates and plastic cutlery that looks like silver. They could maybe do with a little bit more seating/tables for people having breakfast but i didn't really mind that much. The actual room only costs about £70 per night for one room, which is not a lot considering all the technology and the HUGE selection of free films and TV/Radio channels. The Films are all pretty recent and popular titles too.

So if you are looking for a week or so in a quaint, homely, old - fashioned hotel then this is definetly not for you. But if you are looking for something, young, edgy, fun, modern and different for a night or 2 then I couldn't recommend it enough.

Room Tip: The higher the floor, the better the view.

Stayed at the CitizenM in Glasgow for the last two nights of our trip to Scotland. After two weeks of mostly country bed and breakfasts, it was quite a change.

The rooms are all identical 'pods' with the key elements being the very large bed and the opaque bathroom. There is also a small sink in the room as well as a small writing desk. Hanging space is limited but my guess is that not too many guests bring their ball gown. Since the bed takes up the entire width of one end of the room, we thought it must be a nightmare for housekeeping to change. One of the staff informed us that there is actually a lever that raises the bed so the housekeeper merely has to fit the sheet to two corners and the job is done. The shower was memorable. In addition to a nice hand wand there is a 'waterfall' fixture on the ceiling along with a choice of AM or PM body wash. Oh, and the ceiling of the shower has mood lighting that can be controlled by the room's remote control. The remote can also control the TV programming, room lights, the angle of the blinds, and the window shade.

I believe the concept is that, aside from sleeping and showering, people will not want to spend too much time in the room so public spaces on the first and second level are designed as comfortable areas for socializing or working. The bar area at night becomes the breakfast area in the morning serving a variety of cereal, fruit, and yogurt as well as a reasonable assortment of hot items. CitizenM is conveniently located for walking around Glasgow and we found several good restaurants in the immediate vicinity.

All the staff we encountered were friendly, helpful, and seemed to enjoy working at such a unique property. My only minor negative is that I had a package to mail before leaving for an early morning flight and the hotel wasn't able to accommodate my request.

Would definitely stay at another CitizenM as they spread to other cities.

Stayed here for one night whilst on business in Glasgow. Great price for a central location and undeniably the trendiest coolest place I have stayed in for a while.

Self service check in is easy to use although be careful you only select single occupancy if you are a solo guest or else 2 breakfast will be charged

Room was small but adequate for one person. Would def go for larger room if coming back with the wife. Very big and comfy bed and loved the mood pad that controls all the things like tv, blinds and coloured room lighting. Enjoyed the free movies. Varied choice of recent and classic and even the hardcore porn ones free!

Small ensuite yet the shower section was very roomy and powerful.

Would agree with other reviewers that the cooked items at breakfast were Luke warm yet it's value for money at 6'95

All in all a well priced and attractive proposition for staying in town and I will def be back
