Stayed in an executive room for one night. Room large and bed super comfy. Bathroom average and plugs and lights not well placed for drying hair or putting make up on. Didn't eat in the hotel but had drinks in the champagne bar which was lovely. Could have done without housekeeping entering the room at 8.30 in the morning!!! Overall a good stay.

First decent meal at a Xmas night out no choice just simple well cooked and presented food. Well served and organised. Great big potions. Only down was the drink prices are so high. Nice venue in centre of town

Stayed here for a night on business but have been here before with friends. The hotel is in a great location for doing most things in Glasgow. Staff were really attentive, room was nice. Did not have a chance to enjoy the Champagne Bar this time but did previously and it was great. Would recommend.

Stayed here for two nights. Excellent location. Staff were very friendly and polite at all times. Breakfast was very good with an excellent selection. Staff on duty were polite,welcoming and helpful.
The room was a double with tv desk and a chair. We were on the 4th floor overlooking the street which was very noisy. The secondary glazing did not do anything for the noise but quite honestly as you are in the centre of town you do expect some noise. Bathroom was well equipt with the usual shower and shampoo provided.
Now the negatives - very few but irritating. No Internet despite it being available we were unable to log on to the wireless. We had three devises with us so not our equipment. Not good when trying to work and answer emails etc. had to go to mcdonalds to get internet. housemaids not at all friendly didn't answer when we said good morning they appeared to be more interested in talking on their phones than acknowledging guests. Dirty dishes left in the corridor from morning until late afternoon. No fridge ! The most irritating overall was the lack of a fridge and bottled water in the room.no air conditioning so the room was very hot and the window did not open.

Room Tip: Be prepared for noise from the street

My husband and I stayed overnight on Sunday 8 December. We booked through the hotel website directly and got the Sunday deal with dinner, bed and breakfast.

We stayed in a double deluxe room and the first room we were allocated had a separate sitting area. We asked to be moved to another room as the bedroom felt a bit cramped and there was no TV in the bedroom (which is a luxury I enjoy in hotels as I don't have a TV in my bedroom at home). The second room was much better, very spacious and lovely bathroom with huge bath. A couple of minor things, the big lamp in the room did not work and the plug on the dressing table was broken.

We had a couple of drinks in the champagne bar and the service and drinks were very good. The dinner in the restaurant was lovely and the service was good despite the restaurant being very busy. The breakfast was also good although it would be better if you received an individual pot of coffee or tea rather than having to ask for another cup to be poured.

We used the concierge service to keep our bags while we went shopping and the concierge was very helpful. Reception staff also friendly and helpful.

Would stay again and would recommend. Having stayed before, the upgrade to the deluxe room is worth the money as the deluxe room is much bigger and is more comfortable.
