“Climb the stairs”
Reviewed 15 November 2013 via mobile

The building isn't wildly interesting but if you climb the ?162 steps and come out on the top in the open air the view is great. Could have done with more explanation of what we were looking at, though.

“Go on the tour!”
Reviewed 13 November 2013 via mobile

We phoned and booked the guided tour, which was top notch! Laura was an excellent guide, knowledgable and personable ,with a real enthusiasm for the building. The history and design by Charles Rennie Macintosh make this a 5 star site, and the views from the top are staggering......if you like art, architecture and history, this is a MUST in Glasgow.

“Drawn to the light”
Reviewed 27 October 2013

We spent a good while in this excellent visitor centre, enjoying the Informative, engaging and fascinating exhibitions on show. The Mackintosh Interpretation Centre provides a wealth of information which you can access via touchscreens, enabling a flexible, tailored approach, according to your specific interests. It's an excellent insight into the life and work of Glasgow's celebrated son and his wife Margaret MacDonald, illustrating their considerable talents and contributions to the fields of architecture, art and design. Ascend the helical staircase to take in the view over the rooftops of this fine and deservedly proud city.

“Great views”
Reviewed 16 October 2013

This is well worth a visit for a different perspective of Glasgow City Centre. There is one tower with a lift to a viewing gallery which offers great views in an easterly direction. The main tower is only accessible via a spiral staircase and it offers an outside panorama of the city. It's even better as it's free to visit! There is some sort of cultural centre attached and a cafeteria.
