Booked this hotel because it was in Glasgow town centre and very handy for the shops, restaurants and night life - the only plus in its favour. It was also in the budget bracket of hotels but considering you can usually book a Travel Lodge or Premier Inn for the same sort of price I thought it would have reached a certain standard. How wrong was I. When we arrived we went to our room to find out it was 'pokey', the tv didn't work and it just looked grubby. We went to reception to complain and ask for another room. We were told that the Hotel was very busy (not with returning guests!) - eventually after standing our ground we were given another room. It was bigger but we were still very disappointed - needs a good clean and refurb.
We slept in in the morning and missed the breakfast so can't comment - but maybe that was a good thing.
If you are looking for a cheap hotel in the city centre but aren't too fussy about standards and cleanliness this hotel would suit you. But like me if you want a reasonably priced hotel which still meets certain standards there are plenty other hotels in Glasgow to pick from.
Would never stay here again.More
