This hotel has a great location. It is a few minutes walk away from a major indoor mall, and it is not much further away from main streets of shops, restaurants etc. There are also a few tour buses that pick up about 15-20 minutes walk away. The hotel itself is clean and the staff is generally very accommodating. For example, we needed soy milk and they were able to provide it to us every morning. Breakfast is included and it comprised of scrambled eggs, sausages, a bread and cereal selection, tea/coffee/juice etc. It isn't bad for a free breakfast! The rooms themselves are a a bit small if you need them to house 2 adults and any children, but is fine for 2 adults. There are no cupboards, but there are a few shelves and about 6 hangers per room. Regarding toiletries, there are soap dispensers in the bathroom and if you need basic toiletries e.g. toothbrush, shaving cream etc., or an iron/ironing board, they have it at the front desk. All in all, it is a great place to stay if you're looking for value, and a great location.

The hotel is right in the centre of Glasgow, near Argyll street and Merchant city area which is ideal for travellers.

Room was a bit tired, ad especially the bathroom could have done with some tlc. Views were over a parking lot, but noise-wise this was fine.

Breakfast is buffet, basic, but good enough.

Have stayed at this hotel several times. Great location in the centre of Glasgow and is exactly what you would expect - it's a five minuite walk from the heart of the city centre. In terms of rooms and facilities, it's exactly what you would expect from a Holiday Inn Express - rather basic but comfortable and clean. The staff are always friendly and breakfast in the morning is fine given it is free. One time I went I was told they had no rooms left so I was given an 'easy access' room for the first night, but then moved following that. There is plenty of parking very nearby. The hotel is often seems to be a bit cheaper than the 'Threatreland' HIE and there is not enough difference to justify paying more for that one.

Easy check-in, easy check-out. Everyone was really pleasant--from the front desk to the breakfast staff. Cleaning staff was thorough and quiet.

Really great location -- central to everything you'd need. It took us about 10 minutes to walk to Queen Street Station wheeling two large suitcases. It was about 15 minutes to Buchanan Street Station. There's a Holiday Inn closer to the train/bus station, but for the difference in price, I'm not sure it's worth it. We found the Holiday Inn Express Riverside to be quite comfortable, clean, and reasonably price. In fact, if both Holiday Inns were priced exactly the same, I think I'd still choose the Holiday Inn Express Riverside, because we were so happy with it.

There's a nice Italian restaurant next door. They were offering 10% discount to HI customers.

The hot breakfast is above average, and we were glad for it.

There is free wi-fi in the common areas.

Shower was hot and powerful, the tea/coffee supplies were good, and the room was quiet. My only complaint is that the lighting was bad in the room. It was difficult to put on makeup/style my hair at the available in-room mirror because there were no lights near it. Only a minor annoyance and not really worth complaining about.

Would recommend in a heartbeat.

There's not much to say here. It does exactly what it says on the tin. The location is fab - literally minutes from Buchanan Street, and the hotel is clean and comfortable with friendly staff.
No bells and whistles, but that's not what it's aiming for anyway.
Very good.
