My husband and myself stayed here for 2 nights between Christmas and New Year. Hotel is in a great central position close to shopping restaurants and bars of the Merchant City and town centre and you can get a good deal on parking close to it. The price we paid was excellent - certainly a quiet time of year for hotels but still we thought it was a bargain.

Asked for - and got - a quieter room at back of the hotel as I thought it may be noisy due to city centre location - cant expect silence in Glasgow town! I needn't have worried. Room was lovely and clean as was the shower area: bed was comfortable: shower was powerful: tv and wifi reception was very good: breakfast was fine - decent selection - I loved the berries! - and not greatly busy (this can sometimes be a problem in HI Express hotels - but not this one!).

Staff were all very pleasant and helpful. I am looking forward to staying here again later in the year and would certainly recommend to others.

We were welcomed by lovely reception staff including the manager. Grace was so helpful and kind. Sadly a medical event in the middle of the night required us to ask the night staff for help. The two guys on duty were brilliant and showed genuine concern, well done chaps. The rest of the hotel was great too, right location and a short walk from the railway stations. Nice rooms with all you need. Will be back for sure, but this time we hope no dramas !

Stayed one night with my sisters, the man who checked us in was very friendly and apologised profusely that our room was not immediately ready (check-in from 3pm - we'd got there at 3.30 but did not mind waiting the 2 minutes it took to finish off). Room was immaculate, plenty of towels for the three of us and the sofa bed was made up ready as well. All other staff we spoke to were friendly and pleasant. My sister had forgotten her toothbrush and a complimentary one was given to her when she enquired at reception with a very cute tiny tube of toothpaste. Room had TV, tea & coffee making facilities, and free wifi. Breakfast was decent although not much variety in the cooked section, but plenty of variety in terms of cereal, croissants, fruit and yoghurts.

Beds were comfortable and despite our room looking over the main road, traffic didn't keep us awake. Couldn't really fault this place at all, considering how much we paid as well.

Can't fault this hotel after our one night stay. All the staff we spoke to from our first contact through to checking out were friendly, cheerful and helpful. The room was clean and well equipped and there was plenty to choose from at breakfast, we were able to check in and use the room early and generally felt welcome. We had to have our dog with us on this stay and this was no problem at all, not even an housekeeping charge. The hotel is conveniently located with the city centre shops little more than 5 minutes walk away and plenty of other places to explore. We booked early and got a really cheap rate and thought the whole thing was excellent value for money

We stayed for one night and were a group of 6, and it only cost £100 for the 6 of us, on a Saturday night too. As you can imagine we weren't expecting much.
How wrong we were, the guy who welcomed us (His name was either Tim or Tom, something short) was so welcoming and helpful, we were too early to check in and he let all of us put our bags in the office.
Every person we can in contact with was great.
The room itself was a little cramped- This is because we had the sofa bed down. The shower/toilet were clean and bright. The bed was super comfy. We didn't hear anything from the rooms around us. It's such a big place too.
Free breakfast was great! No bacon made me sad though :(
I actually looked at booking again for May when I return to Glasgow, but the cheapest price was £98! For just me this was far too expensive booking so far in advance. It's a shame they don't offer consistently cheap rooms, as I would book again in a heartbeat.
