Managed to get a table booked for a Saturday night in this small bistro, the reason we had to book a few weeks in advance was about to become evident. Very well decorated with little bits of fun on the walls gives this place a great feeling. The staff were very welcoming and the place was packed, the menu was very impressive with a great selection, we had 2 Cullen skinks and 2 goats cheese tarts to start, both were excellent, 2 fish and chips a lamb shank and beef olives made up the mains, all were demolished with zest, only 1 person could manage a sweet, it could have fed 2! A bottle of wine plus 4 beers came to £106 for 4, brilliant and will be back soon.

Myself and my fiancée visited this restaurant based on reviews on trip advisor and we sure weren't disappointed.
We had never heard of it before although it's only 5 miles from our house.
The service and the food were excellent and for once the portions were large and very reasonably priced.
Thanks Black Sheep Bistro for the memorable meal and one things for sure "We Will Be Back"

We went for lunch while visiting Glasgow for the first time. It was one of those menus that has you deliberating over what to settle on. The soup & fresh bread starters (choice of 5) were a great indication of more to come. Too difficult to decide between the 2 lamb specialties that we ordered one each and picked across the table. Finally came the desert menu. We knew we didn't need it, but.... The choices looked soooooo good. They have a perfect solution which is the "mini" desert option. Choose 3 deserts for a very reasonable price. These are mini versions of what is on the main desert menu. Saying that we shared a "mini" selection and were more than sated.

Ok that covers the kitchen. The bar and wait staff were fabulous and very welcoming and happy to advise on menu selections. Great service.

Location is a little out of the way but well worth the walk. You have to book. Walk in customers were turned back unfortunately as the Black Sheep Bistro was fully booked for some time out.
