Staff and quality of staff are fantastic only downside is that baths do not fit the more sturdy gentleman. But otherwise cannot fault the hotel. Room service food was lovely and delivered promptly. Would recommend the pond in future

I would have preferred to give a rating of good, rather than average but this is not an option. The location - back to back with a filling station forecourt and a hospital - may cause some raised eyebrows, but the hotel itself is fine. Clean, well appointed, quiet, comfortable beds, good food, plenty of free parking spaces, all representing value for the price paid. As others have noted it's not central but this was not an issue for the purpose of this visit. Staff were polite, efficient (for the most part) and friendly, including forwarding an electronic copy of my receipt, which I forgot to collect on departure.

Booked on booking.com at a brilliant price of £60 per night for a massive three bed room. This hotel is located just a ten minute drive from the city centre or a £10-£12 taxi fare. The room was gorgeous, very clean, very spacious and had all of the facilities you could want for a short city break. We arrived around 7pm on a Friday and although the reception area was extremely busy, we were greeted with a very friendly welcome. Ordered room service and had a lovely meal in the room watching a massive flat screen TV. We were out all day Saturday until the wee hours and when we got back the room had been serviced and the place looked great. Massive bath with lots of lovely toiletries and warm fluffy towels. If you want the comfort and luxury of a lush city hotel without the noise of the city centre then book a room here. Awesome!!! Will definitely stay again.

Stayed at this hotel with my partner for 2 nights. Driving up to the hotel it does look like a council estate but once inside it is a lovely hotel with really friendly service. Room was comfortable with big comfy beds. We ate in the restaurant and at the bar and service and food was both lovely. One downside is that it is a bit out of the way especially if looking to go into city centre but for price and comfort you cannot complain.

We were visiting Gartnavel Hospital next to the Pond Hotel it was suggested by them for an overnight stay, I tried to book cheap room on line, full came back so rang up all Ok plenty of rooms at £ 80 seems all the "cheaper" room had gone.
Room was clean and tidy well equipped asked for restaurant menus but only available at reception not to be taken away. £12 odd meal had sausage had mash as main course !!!!!!!! so we had something off the main menu self service hot breakfast. Good food. Waitresses very good and attentive friendly without being overly familiar .

A bit of singing and shouting during the night but not to disturbing

We stayed for one night and the hotel was excellent. The room was modern and clean, free car parking and near to the train station to get quickly into town. Breakfast was lovely, well presented buffet, food hot and appetising. Eggs fried or scrambled to order. The best part of our stay was the friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble.
