I stayed here for about 2 weeks while working in Glasgow. The room was a good size, modern with a tv and kettle. The bathroom was also in good nick with shower and bath. A hair dryer is provided but there's no mini bar or small fridge.
I stayed on the fourth floor overlooking the car park and was generally pretty pleased with it. I didn't notice much noise either from the car park, the nearby garage or the dual carriageway. The only thing that did get on my nerves was that coach tours stay here quite a lot. The drivers park their vehicles outside the front door, often very early in the morning and leave the engine running for ages.
I was here during a patch of warm weather in Glasgow and the room was very warm. The window doesn't open much so a fan was essential. These are available from reception for free.
They say parking is on first come first served but the car park is very big and was never more than half full during my stay despite weddings and the Commonwealth Games going on. It's free to residents.
Breakfast is very good. Usual stuff of cereal, juice, tea and coffee and good selection of hot. Some of it is made to order such as eggs and haggis. Doesn't take long to come and was very well cooked.
I didn't eat lunch or dinner here but across the road are good Italian and Indian restaurants. There's also an M&S food place within the BP garage which is handy.
It's about 15 minutes walk down to the west end Ashton Lane area but taxis wait just around the corner if you don't want to walk.
The staff are friendly and efficient. Wouldn't mind staying there again.
I've rated the place as average but that just because there isn't a 'good' option and 'very good' would be over stating things.
