We stayed here on Easter Sunday as a last minute booking for one night. The room was very clean and you could tell it had been recently updated. The hotel is only a short walk from the centre of town near to Kelvingrove Art Gallery and park. The hotel does not have private parking but there is on-street parking which is free from 6pm-8am and all day Sunday. Breakfast was included in our stay and i could not fault it - all buffet dishes full and fresh. The only thing that prevented me from giving 5stars was the fact our shower had a leak and that the other parts of the hotel such as the breakfast area looked quite dated and were requiring some attention.
I would highly recommend the Argyll Hotel and would most definitely stay again.

We stopped in the Argyll on our way up north. Great for a stop. Comfy rooms and modern bathroom, excellent service at breakfast and by the receptionist. It has a couple of spaces for parking at the back. Its not for a romantic hotel night, more for a stop on a longer trip but we enjoyed it all the same.

We stayed here for 2 nights with our mum and dad. The rooms are clean, cozy and well decorated. Really had a relaxing time. The location is also very good as it is near to the Glasgow University and Kelvingrove art gallery. City center is 20 mins by walking and 5 mins by cab which will take £5 to any destination in city center. you can also take a bus to city center as well. So all in all an ideal place for relaxation, vacation and fun.

I booked this at short notice earlier this week, as I had to attend business meetings in Glasgow. The room I was allocated was in a basement which smelled bad. This was only surpassed by the dreadful smell in my en-suite. The carpets were filthy, all the fixtures and fittings were tired and the bed was extremely uncomfortable.
Even at a "discounted" price, my £45 for room only would have been better spent almost anywhere else.
This hotel supposedly has Visit Scotland 3 stars/crowns - it doesn't deserve any! Unfortunately, my tight schedule didn't allow me time to complain or check-out otherwise I would have requested a refund.
