What a lovely medium sized hotel. The Location is good although on a busy road but double glazed to keep noise levels down and most rooms on sides. Several others who where at the same conference and were also in city centre hotels complained of loud music going on till two in the morning and other street noise in the evenings this was not a problem here. The staff are excellent offering help and really seemed pleased to make your stay a good one. You can tell they are proud of their hotel and city. It even has a small car park for circa 30 cars around the back , ask for details on how to get to it as it is a bit hidden away and you cannot park outside the hotel.
The location was Ideal for Strathclyde University and the city centre with George square only a few yards Away. Also some fab restaurants (mostly Italian) with in 10 mins walk. I will try and stay again if in the area.

Stayed here 2 nights during the week. Customer Care is of a very high standard. Arrived very early due to flight availability. Allowed to check in and leave bags in a safe room and our keys were then ready for later in the afternoon. Staff all very friendly, but professional. Very nice breakfast. Good choice of buffet as well as options from the grill.
Bedroom - comfortable bed and very clean, but extremely hot. On the 3rd floor so window only opens a very small amount, but then had protective glass in front. Was quite uncomfortable as two of us staying in the room. My two travelling companions found the location to be very noisey, but I no trouble sleeping and slept very well both nights.
Hotel is in a good base for exploring the city. Lots of places to shop. Would I stay again - yes, definately, for the good customer care and bed comfort. Just wish the rooms were cooler.

It is possible to open the windows fully, they are fitted with restrictors which can be released in order to open the window. We are also able to provide fans where necessary.

I do hope to welcome you back to the hotel in the future.

Stayed three nights. This hotels main asset is its staff, they were all excellent. Room was small but clean. Bathroom badly laid out, when seated on toilet, the toilet roll holders intruded in places that they shouldn't have. A little thought by designer would have prevented this. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. The hotel is well placed for railway and bus stations and there are a vast number of restaurants within walking distance. Overall a very good hotel for the price,(booked well in advance)

Clean rooms nd easy access from airport and for Merchant City centre. Had to pay extra for breakfast. Pre-paid £10 for full at check in but £13.95 was added to my bill by restaurant in spite of stating that I had already paid, so lack of internal communication here. As in a city centre location can be a little noisy during the night due to passing drunken revellers outside but this can't be helped by hotel.

It may not be the most modern or lavish of hotels, but, like other hotels in the Mercure family, it offers very comfortable, well-equipped, clean bedrooms. It's possible to book the best category room, with enhanced amenities and lots of space, for a very reasonable rate. Reception is bright and efficient, and breakfast staff cheerful and attentive. The only slight irritation we had was an apparent slip up in housekeeping when our hospitality tray was not replenished on our second day and replacement towels were inexplicably left on the bedroom floor. This didn't affect us too much, and certainly wouldn't put us off returning.
