The Hilton Hotel in Glasgow overlooks the Clyde river and the Kingston Bridge. This hotel has been built with the taxi in mind! It is very tricky to find by car and the car park is usually full. The rooms are large and well furnished, the breakfast plentiful, with free newspapers.

Dear Iain G,

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at Hilton Glasgow.
I am pleased to hear of your well furnished room and plentiful breakfast.

I can confirm there is a plan for the future with our Local Authority who has agreed to provide enhanced signage with directions to the hotel.

Our car park has 190 spaces and does tend to get very busy, especially when large events are being held at the hotel. Our concierge team are more than happy to advise on alternative parking arrangements should our guests require this.

We look forward to welcoming you back in the near future.
Kind Regards,
Lisa

We got a great last minute price and enjoyed our stay at this modern, clean hotel. The sat nav won't find the hotel - took us 14 miles into the country! Put Waterloo Road in as street name and it will get you there. £7 taxi ride to Albion Street area.

Room Tip: We had room overlooking city and motorway. Quiet.

It was our 27th wedding anniversary and we decided to treat ourselves to a nice night out and stayed at the Glasgow Hilton . The staff were great and when they found out it was our anniversary they arranged for some chocolates and wine to be in our room . The room was lovely with the balcony overlooking the city centre . We had a wonderful time and will return again.

Myself and a couple of colleagues stayed here for 4 nights last week whilst attending a conference at the nearby conference centre. I can sincerely say I've never experienced better customer service anywhere.

My only real complaint was that my bed was very very hard but on the first morning I asked one of the reception staff if there was anything that could be done. There was absolutely no fuss about it and when I returned that evening, a mattress topper had been fitted to my bed which helped make it more comfy. As well as excellent reception staff the bar staff, restaurant and housekeeping staff, plus Gordon from the gift shop were all absolutely delightful, charming and helpful.

We had breakfast included and this was fab, I particularly enjoyed the porridge and hot chocolate. There was even whiskey provided to put on your porridge if you so wished (I didn't!).

The bar food was very nice - it would have been expensive had a 20% discount for conference delegates not been negotiated, but this discount made it reasonably priced and it was excellent, good quality food. We even indulged in a classic afternoon tea which was elegant and tasty. Quite fancied the chocoholics afternoon tea but managed to resist the temptation, it sounded amazing though.

Nice bedroom, quiet and very clean with a good selection of channels on the tv...mind you, not sure how you can justify a Kitkat from the mini-bar costing £3.95.....!

Anyway, I can highly recommend the Glasgow Hilton.

Stay here every year when I travel with my friends for our annual weekend of shopping. Went recently with my husband too and were able to get into our room at 10am! Great modern hotel. New bar area is just fabulous - they serve the best G&T ever. I agree it is a bit far away when walking from the city centre in heels, I know cos I've done it!! Can't fault their breakfasts -plentiful and delicious.

This hotel has all the usual "Hilton" polish, with a large lobby and the expected high quality restaurant & bar. Location wise the hotel stands slightly on its own with only the Marriott close by as the immediate location is a maze of major roads. The gym on site was well equipped and included in the prince of the room.

The hotel is between 5 to 10 minutes walk from the main Glasgow rail station (Central Station) through an area which is "ok" but isn't the most flattering for the city of Glasgow. On the way is a Tesco which is about the only option if you do not fancy the restaurant in the hotel or a walk.

The rooms are very comfortable with fine fixtures and fittings and are large by many standards. I have the usual moan with Hilton hotels in general that the mini bar prices are ridiculous and free wifi is only available in the lobby.

The room I had looked out on to the M8 motorway ... not the most inspiring thing in the city, however, the noise wasn't noticeable and didn't intrude to prevent sleep. The hotel is a certainly a classy venue and the staff were friendly and welcoming.
