Queen size room; enjoyable executive lounge; great breakfast with friendly chefs to urge you to gluttontonise!!
pretty much up to Big H. standard - nice staff, with a quick smile and hello.

well, almost....... seeking a post concert drink turned into an ordeal, with no service after 15 mins, a barman's blind eye ---- a glass of the abstinence please.

Room Tip: try to get w. side high up - great views and if you're lucky, Clyde sunsets

Choose this hotel as the base for a weekend pre-Xmas shopping trip to Glasgow mainly because there was a deal on the rates available. Without the discount would certainly have chosen another hotel. The location of the hotel is convenient for travellers, like myself, who arrive by car, as it is right next to the M8. Also, walking into the city centre is no problem; Waterloo Street behind the hotel provides an easy 10 minute stroll to Central station. Couldn't find fault with the hotel: no problems with checking-in; the room was an ideal size and provided all the standard facilities; breakfast was a buffet and there was plenty of choice available; and there is a car park beneath the hotel (not free). Rates on offer will decide if we return for a future stay, but if the cost remains competitive with its near neighbour we will return.

Room Tip: Rear of hotel gives views over City, front of hotel looks over the motorway.

Myself, partner and 2 friends of ours, have just returned to London after a fabulous weekend in Glasgow, complimented by the wonderful stay we had in the Hilton Glasgow on William Street. We received a warm welcome at the front desk and our room was very comfortable indeed. We had two nights of undisturbed sleep with help from the comfortable and spacious bed, perfect temperature and black out blinds. It was the small things which made our stay so good, such as super soft towels, a good quality hair dryer, iron and ironing board in our room, proper kettle and good sized cups for tea. I was celebrating my birthday and was delighted to return to the room on our second day to find a plate of delicious complementary chocolates with a Happy Birthday message. Spotlessly clean, great nights sleep, and very friendly staff - What more could you ask for?

The only negative I have to say is that when I booked with www.booking.com, we requested our rooms be beside each other. However this message was appartently not passed on to the Hilton. A minor draw back but slightly irritating none the less.

Thank you Glasgow Hilton for adding to my wonderful birthday weekend back home!

Fairly typical of a Hilton hotel not obvious that it is 5 star standard though. We booked an executive king room and well worth it for the view and size of the room as well as access to the lounge. Breakfast, afternoon tea, hor dourves are served throughout the day. Avoiding the normal breakfast queues in the lounge was another bonus. Location is a bit isolated and we got taxi to city centre.

Just back from a short break in Glasgow where we attended the Andrea Bocelli concert in The Hydro and stayed at the Hilton. This is the third time we have used the Hilton for a concert break as it is an easy walk home from Finnieston, along an easy path directly back to the hotel grounds. Since we last visited the hotel has been significantly refurbished, much of it much improved, but a few things that seemed to now lack the old atmosphere of the Hilton we enjoyed before. However the service was warm and friendly, as always, the bedroom just lovely. We had a queen size room and it was huge! Bed was sumptuous and very comfortable. Shower was powerful and the condition of the room was very good, with a recently decorated feel. Sadly we did not stay in for breakfast as the price seemed a bit pricey for what we would have eaten, so instead we took a nice stroll to John Lewis and ate for half the price. Still our favourite Glasgow hotel though.

We stopped here on our way to the Isle of Mull in July, using my Hilton Honors points as I am a regular business user of Hilton hotels. We had a good welcome and felt we were a valued customer. We had a room with two double beds (I was travelling with my wife and kids aged 4 & 7). The concierge was helpful when I wanted to store my mountain bike securely and the underground car park was secure enough to leave the rest of our holiday gear in. The food was excellent (dinner and breakfast) and my daughter fell in love with the pancake machine! We tried the pool and sauna which were both really good.

No complaints, will use for business visits in the future as well.
