Good value. Overall a comfortable hotel, but a few warnings:
Location is not ideal - but there are plenty of taxis, and the cost is reasonable.
Breakfast - Lots of choice, but some items are low quality (e.g. long life orange juice. Just penny pinching!)
Air Con - I stayed in December, but the heating was not on. I had to call reception to fix. "Oh, this room was down as unoccupied." Anyway, the air con is realty basic - just On/Off, and Higher / Lower Temp. Not what you expect from a "5 star hotel".
Pool - could be cleaner, AND the changing rooms are very cold.
Decoration not to everyone's taste. Our room was dark green and mahogany. Odd!

Room Tip: ~Go for a high floor.

Dear Peg C,

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at Hilton Glasgow.

Although you found the hotel good value and comfortable I can see that there were are few areas that did not meet with your expectations.

Our Concierge team are always happy to help guests with transport arrangements and directions to and from the hotel.

I am sorry that you were unhappy with some of the breakfast items and have shared your feedback with our Executive Chef.

I have noted your comments regarding the Air Conditioning and pool facilities and asked our Front of House Manager and LivingWell Manger to review your feedback with their teams.

Thank you again for sharing your feedback, should you choose to visit Glasgow in the future, I do hope we will have the opportunity to welcome you back to the hotel.

Kind Regards,
Lisa

Stayed 28th Dec for 1 night as a little treat for my husband and myself, have previously stayed on many occasions, but this time noticed a dramatic drop in services.
Always book an executive room as I enjoy the lounge as I really don't want to go a wander around Glasgow, but this time will be the last, previous you were allowed small hot snacks between 6.00p - 8.00pm now only cheese and biscuits!! There are no spirits, only wine and lager!! Now don't think that I am a alcoholic, I am no,t but if you are paying £85.00 more for the benefits surely they should be fitting to the price. What a disappointment in the service!! On first visit 8 years ago, it was wonderful and could not wait to go back, now I will check out other hotels before I sign on the dotted line!!

Stayed two nights in dec this year. It's within walking distance to the train stations and city center ( 15 - 20 mins). But what I dislike is the route you take to enter the lobby. You practically have to walk by the back of the hotel and round it to reach the lobby. When it's. Old and quiet at night, it's not something I particularly enjoy doing . The service is also just so so. Minimum to say the least. Not friendly at all compared to the many fantastic Scottish people I met during my trip. Other than that, I have no complains about the room. But I wouldn't go back to the same hotel. Should be able to find a similar grade hotel newer to city center and not having to walk through a quiet back alley to reach the lobby.

This is a conveiently located hotel with reasonable rates and excellent food. Our room was a good size, and well serviced. We spent the time walking to shops/restaurants and the Mackintosh experience. Well recommended

I cannot praise this hotel enough.. I stayed in this hotel twice once with a friend and once with my family. The rooms were lovely and clean no issues. And decorated well. A few touch ups needed maybe nothing major. The views were brilliant. Being on motorway you would think would be very loud but not at all. Did get bit of vertigo on the 14th floor but wish had room higher up.. When called reception few times for help was greeted warmly. & The staff were always happy to help. I did not manage to catch the lovely girls names who served me ect but they were great and even remembered me second time I stayed and were full of loveliness. This may be a large hotel but it has a family feel with 1st class service. When staying in glasgow again there will be no way I will stay anywhere else but this hotel. :) Thanks for a great stay everyone at hilton glasgow cannot wait to come back to such wonderful smiles and kindness. The breakfast was great so much choice. nothing beats a good scottish breakfast. The beds were so comfortable. & shower was amazing
