“Another great weekend”
Reviewed 13 April 2014

Once again another great weekend at the Hilton Glasgow. From the minute you drive up to the time you leave.the staff are always great and always there to help. It's the staff and management team that make this Hilton. Keep up the good work. Be back down soon.

Room Tip: Get a high floor. Great view

All the staff were welcoming from the moment I arrived. The room was extremely comfortable, spacious and very clean. The spa staff were friendly and the facilities great. The buffet breakfast provides something for everyone. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We stayed here for one night last week and we were very impressed with the staff and hotel from the start. We arrived early and the receptionist was very helpful and although a room wasn't available for us to check in, they took our bags whilst we used the pool and then ate in the lounge. Both these facilities are great and particularly the lounge is very impressive with the high backed chairs which are very comfy and elegant. We didn't have to wait long for our room and we were very impressed with its size and decor. The bedroom it's self was twice the size of the 5* hotels we have stayed at in other big cities and the bay window was great as we had a great view of Glasgow. The fact that we were right next to the M8 was not a problem at all for noise, but we stayed in a room on the 1500's, so this may have helped. The location was great for both the hydro which we went to and the city centre; about a 20 minute walk to each. The bus stop for the airport shuttle is right next to the back of the hotel which was very convenient. From start to finish we were very impressed with this hotel and it truly lives up to its 5* rating.

I recently stayed here with my two young sons as we were visiting Glasgow for an event. We stayed for one night, and booked a family room online. Finding the hotel was very easy, it is very centrally located but still easy to drive to. There is parking at the hotel itself in an underground car park, and a lift into reception. What impressed me most here were the staff - super friendly and so engaging with the children, really interested in chatting to them as we checked in and listening to them ramble on - I was so pleased the reception staff were like this, as it really sets the mood for our stay.

Our room was very nice, large with two double beds, and again the concierge was very helpful sending us off to find a Pizza Express for our tea that night. The hotel was very well maintained and smart, as most of the nice Hilton's are, nothing unusual there.

When we got back to the hotel that night, our room was very smelly as a leak had developed under the bath, soaking the carpet! I rang down and asked if they could help with this, and they quickly popped up to see the problem. A few minutes later, we were upgraded to a suite on the 20th floor, and a member of staff helped us move our things. The kids were thrilled with the view, and the room was really lovely.

The kids were delighted with the swimming pool also, which was super quiet when we went down in the morning. We then grabbed some pastries and coffee to go (a lovely lady in the restaurant even did the kids apple juice in take-away cups, they were delighted with this and pretended it was a latte!!).

In summary - very pleased with the hotel and delighted with how much effort the staff made with the kids. Would certainly stay again at this hotel, and highly recommend.

Stayed here many times and rely enjoy it. There is a marked difference between the executive rooms and the regular rooms with exec offering far nicer set up and more comfortable beds i found - though that was perhaps just chance. The food is great, the wine overpriced (£20+ for house red), the staff are excellent, service is a bit slow. I really like this hotel but find The Blythswood to come out on top. Still, the suite on the top floor is outstanding as is the exec lounge. Location is good too, close enough to the centre but out the way enough as to be free from too much hustle and bustle.

Stayed for one night on a Saturday, hotel was clean/efficient with friendly staff. We received a corner room which was quite large on the 12th floor. Room had no clear defects or issues and the bed was comfortable. Would stay again, maybe a little pricey compared to competitors? Might be worth looking around as you can probably get a cheaper rate without risking a lower level of comfort. The bar had a good selection of whiskies and cocktails, well recommended and the staff were very pleasant!

I aTtended a gala dinner recently and stayed over . Rooms are a little dark and dated in terms of style but are comfortable and clean. Service at dinner was good and the food was ok nothing special. Breakfast was plentiful but service and interaction with the guests was lacking as it was all buffet and for a 5 star hotel you have to make your own toast and get your own drinks. Come on Hilton this is not hospitality .
