Stayed for one night in April over the Easter weekend. Staff were amazing and couldn't do enough for us. As stated by other reviewers, free minibar, and decanters in the room add a touch of class. I booked with one of the popular Internet hotel websites however it is worth checking the hotel website direct as you may find a deal cheaper.the hotel is within a few yards of the bustling George Square and Buchanan Street shopping areas. Many restaurants to choose from nearby and 'Wagamamas' is worthy of a vist.

Complimentary mini bar and decanters of spirits in your room... We had the Sunday package which also included a three course meal and a glass of wine or beer... Service was very attentive... Exec lounge next, again bar on tap just help yourself and mingle with the other guests... Bed was amazing sobcomfy... Could not fault this hotel excellent value and planning our next overnight

Just back from a night in one of Executive suites. Warm welcome given as we were 2 hours early. They took our bags and pointed us in the direction of the lounge to get some refreshments before we hit the shops. The room was very clean and tastefully decorated with everything that you would need. The staff in the lounge were attentive and friendly catering for all our needs.
And so to bed for a great comfortable nights sleep.
Breakfast in the skyline restaurant- what a view. This to me was the only slight let down. Staff as usual excellent however for the class of the hotel i did expect butchers quality sausages rather than the very ordinary ones offered. The bacon was a bit dry ( that only comes from sitting in a buffet) however on the positive slant the continental selection especially the fresh fruit was great.
Value for money and classy

Room Tip: Treat yourself to a better room it's worth it.

We enjoyed our stay, staff very pleasant. The hotel is clean but is well worn in certain areas. Many handles were missing from the furniture in our room, the bathroom bin hadn't been emptied from the previous occupant (not a pleasant find!!) and there was only one set of towels however another set was swiftly delivered when we rang reception. We had the evening meal which was just average but enjoyed the breakfast. All in all we felt we had good value and would stay again as location is geeat

Thanks for your comments, please accept my apologies for the unemptied bin in your room and missing handles, this is certianly not the image we wish to project. I can assure you this is not the norm at the Carlton George. I look forward to welcoming you back on your next stay, I'm sure you will have a more typical, positive experience in the future.

Regards
Duncan Johnston
