All the staff are so friendly and helpful. Glasgow a super city to visit for shopping and sightseeing. We have stayed twice to attend functions in the hotel. Rooms are really nice and fairly spacious and effort is made to make it as pleasant as possible.

Room Tip: The twice we have been there we have had no problems with noise at all.

We stopped only for a night. Room was clean and warm. Stayed whilst going for a concert at SECC so it was very good location for it.
Enjoyed breakfast,too.
This hotel has got pool as well, but unfortunately we didnt try it.

We attended a party night and stayed over. The food at the party night was average and the breakfast was similar. The staff at the party night were ok though the bar could only just cope with demand. It was a different story in the hotel where the staff were excellent and the room was clean and well appointed.

Stayed here for a night whilst attending a concert at the SECC. Hotel is functional enough. Bedroom was compact but sufficient for two people. King size bed was one of the comfiest I have slept in for a long time. Decor throughout the hotel, including the rooms is dark wood which makes the whole establishment a bit dull and dated and the low lighting throughout added to a rather solemn and uninviting atmosphere. Low temperatures throughout didn't exactly encourage you to spend much time in the public areas. Christmas decorations were up but a bit subdued and low key. Bar food menu was okay but nothing exceptional but breakfast was a pretty good spread. Staff at breakfast were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Hotel is starting to show its age in a few areas but all in all its a decent enough hotel for a short stay although I've stayed in better Marriotts. We were on the 12th floor which is the top floor for this hotel but we couldn't not really enjoy the view - don't know when they last cleaned the windows!

Spent 2 nights here in December 2012 - got a good deal with Credit card points.
The room was clean and comfortable but I was absolutely freezing the first night, it turned out that the heat had been turned off in the room. It was a really cold night outside and I was a little surprised that this could happen! However it was fixed the next day and my second night was fine. The complaint was dealt with efficiently and to my satisfaction.
The breakfast was excellent though a bit pricey at £16 per day, freshly cooked eggs were served and this was a nice touch.
Used the pool once and it was slightly surreal as it was full of young Mums and babies participating in a class!
The hotel is a 5-10 min walk from Central station, so fairly close to everything.
Would stay again if getting a good rate, the rack rates being far too expensive.

Stayed here for 1 night on Christmas shopping trip, the hotel staff couldn't do enough for us, the room was very clean and comfy (especially the beds!), the breakfast was lovely and hot. Bit of a hike to the swimming pool though. we will definitely come back

A warm and friendly welcome. The concierge was very knowledgeable and helpful. The room had two very large beds and was well appointed.
The initial price, based on the hotel's own web page, was expensive but we booked via "clever-hotels" for about half price. Breakfast came up to expectations and the offer of porridge with whisky was a nice touch. Good indoor pool
A major problem is arrival by car: you need a good map and navigator to get through the one-way street system.
