“Weekend stay”
Reviewed 2 January 2013

Room was cheap and clean for a 2 night stay in Glasgow. I would not pay anymore than the £145 (approximate total, 2ppl, 2nt, b&b) total that we paid. Reception friendly and helpful, breakfast good choice and between 7-12 so plenty of time to get there if you are hungover!!! Lounge comfortable and bar nice but boring. Corridors a little dated and shabby as was the overall exterior of the hotel. The pool area was nice to have use of but was a bit dull and dirty in appearance. All in all, you can't really argue as it is cheap and cheerful. Would stay again going over to Glasgow for a match or on business.

Room Tip: Good for the price as it is cheap if you look around, just chance your arm and ask for an upgrade bu...

My girlfriend and I attended a business conference at th Hotel. We enjoyed the high standard of accommodation and facilities. The lunch and teas and coffees provided were very good.
The only part of the hotel I do not recommend at the Leisure facilities. The service is unsatisfactory and the level of cleanliness and maintenance below par.

I went there for an over nighter before a business trip. Overall it was a very comfortable hotel room and I was very pleased to see that despite the proximity to a main road it was very quite. I was also very pleased to find out that the restaurant served porridge in the morning. The only downside was that it was a little on the fringes of the city, but I was able still able walk to a good restaurant in about 15 minutes.

Marriotts tend to provide reliable 4star accommodation and this was no exception. Not the prettiest location but very convenient for motorways and less than 15 min walk to the city centre and about 20 min to SECC. Good staff training meant every member of staff made us welcome and no request a bother. Pleasant public areas and confortable (if small) room. The heating system and rather thin duvet made for a cool 1st night (fine for husband however) but a second duvet meant a cosy following night. Breakfasts standard and fine - whiskey with porridge a nice touch.
We will return to this pleasant and welcoming hotel.

All the staff are so friendly and helpful. Glasgow a super city to visit for shopping and sightseeing. We have stayed twice to attend functions in the hotel. Rooms are really nice and fairly spacious and effort is made to make it as pleasant as possible.

Room Tip: The twice we have been there we have had no problems with noise at all.
