Spent two nights here in June. The hotel staff are among the best we have seen anywhere.
Friendly and willing to go the extra mile. Clean room, good bed. No street noise.Dinner in the bar from the bar menu was much better than we expected (fish & chips). Excellent breakfast buffet,
including haggis. Hotel location is about a 10-15 minute walk along Argyle Street to the city center.
This Marriott is starting to show its age and could use a refurbishment, but nonetheless, is
a very good lodging choice for Glasgow.

Stay in the Marriott for one night. The entrance was well presented and the staff welcoming and helpful. Rooms were clean as was the bathroom. Although situated beside a motorway I could not here any motorway noise! On the down side the pool was very disappointing. There was quite a walk from the changing room to the pool, along a slippery dirty floor. There was also private lessons at the same time as I swam which was off putting. The changing rooms were very cold also. Lunch would have been nice if i hadnt found a hair in my coleslaw!! Our evening meal was extremely disappointing and there seemed to be a problem with every course. The smoke alarm went off twice during the night which was rather annoying!!! On the plus side breakfast was outstanding!!

We had a 1 night stay. Room was good and spotlessly clean as you'd expect. Location ok, easy to walk to most attractions. Breakfast was better than average. If you use the car park take note that you should pay at reception because that's £8 per night as opposed to £18 if you feed the meter in the car park . There is a notice to this effect in the car park but we at least found it easy to miss. (car park does not belong to Marriott).

Great location, the hotel very good and the staff were very pleasant and very helpful. the food was excellent well presented and very hot. the room was of a very good standard which you would expect from Marriott. The only downside was the walk from the changing room to the swimming pool. The corridor floor was wet and very slippery, it would be better with some form of non slip surface/matting.
