“Great location”
Reviewed 9 May 2013

This Premier Inn, is in a fantastic location, 5mins walk from the central train station and shops, and just 15mins walk from the SECC. Lovely quiet hotel, couldn’t hear any traffic which was a pleasant surprise as it is located near the motorway.
The only reason I have given in 3 instead of 5 is due to an issue we had with faulty kettle which left me with a burnt hand. But I must compliment the staff / duty manager on how they handled the problem.

Gave the Premier Inn a go, stayed one night with my daughter for concert at SECC. Checked in earlier than stated time and took pot luck with room. Allocated 2nd floor twin room, not much space between beds and dressing table/mirror but we coped. View was on to air con units/fans but this was not bothersome at all. The beds were comfy and we slept well. Plug in heater when room became too cold. Hairdryer/kettle/tea/coffee provided. Windows could open if you required fresh air. Shower was wonderful, plenty hot water and powerful.
Found all staff to be warm and helpful, our breakfast on the Monday morning was cooked to order , along with all the cereals juices etc.to help yourself to. Under 16s eat free when adult pays for full breakfast. Check out time was 12 noon, and there is a handy left luggage room as we had time to kill for shopping etc before train home. Costa coffee next door.
If you are going to SECC , the train from downstairs Platform 17 takes you straight there in 3 minutes from Central Station at aprox £1.60 return. So quick and easy and a covered walkway leads you right to the complex.
Thanks everyone at Premier Inn, keep up the good work !

Business overnight stay - had been booked in for dinner too by my employer. A bit of a queue at reception to check in, then the room was typically Premier Inn if a bit tired looking. Restaurant was, frankly, awful. It was a depressing place, the food poorly prepared (battered haddock cooked to destruction) and the service came with regular apologies for delay.

Breakfast at 8:30 was busy but not overly so, and the food was much better than the perevious evening.

It's quite central but in a pretty boring immediate neighbourhood. However if you know your way around that won't be a problem.

Overall not the best, but ok if you get a good deal or are desperate

Room Tip: Try the Charing Cross Premier Inn nearby? My room was 2nd floor at the front but it was well insulat...

Stayed overnight for the show. Luckily got a special rate of £29.00 room only. What a bargain, great location near Central Station. Room was nice and clean, great welcome at Reception and parking close by. All in all a great place to stay in Glasgow.

You can't beat the Premier Inn for its price and good all round room quality....
Have stopped in the same hotel before, and the staff are great. Its close proximity to Central Station and the city centre is a huge plus.
The breakfast was really decent, with a really good choice...
The staff have a really pleasant attitude and go out of their way to be of service....

So,.... well done Guys!

Good experience with both the staff and facilities at this hotel. Would use again if I had to. Would happily recommend to anybody who has to stay in the vicinity. Centrally positioned so handy for most Glasgow attractions.
