Premier Inn Glasgow City Centre (Argyle Street) Hotel
Ranked #54 of 93 Hotels in Glasgow
Reviewed 14 April 2014

We stayed at this hotel on sunday 13/4/2014. As is the case with the three other Premier Inns we've visited in the past 9 months, the standards of housekeeping, food and staff are just excellent. They really try hard to keep the promise of a good nights sleep. The beds are extremely comfortable, spotlessly clean and there are extra pillows if you need them. This was a very quiet hotel even though it was busy with people attending the Dancing on Ice concert at the SECC which is within walking distance by the way. The restaurant is small but lovely and our buffet breakfast was more than adequate. I've said in previous reviews that Premier Inn staff are their greatest asset and once again, to my great pleasure, I thank the various members of staff we met on this visit. Well done Girls and boys! Thank you for making our visit such great value for money.

Great location and cheap price for a good nights sleep! This hotel is a little bit tired compared to some Premier Inns I have stayed in, but it lived up to my usual expectations - clean rooms, comfortable beds, good bathroom, friendly staff.

We booked a twin room on arrival in Glasgow-I was shocked at the price,£71.00 for one night...am I being mean? We were woken by rush hour traffic and the £8.75 breakfast also seemed extreme!
Lovely staff but £20. cheaper would be better!

Stayed in a twin room with my mum. Hotel is in a great location, very close to the centre so lots of shops and food establishments to go to! Staff are friendly, room was comfortable, breakfast had plenty choice and was good quality. My only negative comment is that the air con/heater was VERY loud therefore when the room got too hot, we either had to listen to that or open the window and listen to the traffic. Other than that, very enjoyable. Would go back.

This is the usual Premier Inn, though rooms are a bit on the small side compared to normal. However this is hardly surprising in view of the location - so central for the station, the shopping and other attractions in the centre of Glasgow. Having said this it is 3 blocks away on the wrong side of the tracks, and the area is not the most salubrious.

Nevertheless for a room within such a short walking distance of everything you need, which is clean and comfortable, the value at the price we paid was absolutely outstanding. We also found that the in-house "Thyme" restaurant provided a good dinner from a fairly limited menu and an excellent as much as you can eat buffet breakfast with a great selection of hot and cold dishes with good quality ingredients.

very helpful staff...rooms were very clean and well presented..... only stayed one night but would stay again. Excellent location for trains, taxi's. buses....all in all well worth the price which was very reasonable...didn't eat there because of our schedule but would've been happy to.

Have stayed here a few times now, and would recommend it. For a budget priced accommodation the standards of the rooms and friendly staff are excellent. We arrived early and the person on reception sorted out for us to check-in earlier which was a great help.
