Stayed here for three nights. For a Double Room, I found the room slightly small and in a worn-out condition. Would expect slightly more for £85/night. Meals were good and location, convenient. Oh! and a fire evacuation on an freezing early morning did not help, however, that was beyond the management's control.
Would recommend a stay for one night, however, three nights? perhaps not.

Our 2nd stay here, last time 7 years ago without kids, this time with 6 year old twins including one with a broken ankle. Both times we found the hotel in a perfect location, of a very good standard and with top notch staff.
Even up against it with a broken boiler and then a fire alarm, the manager and staff were a credit to their profession. Kept us informed, were honest and went out of their way to make sure we were happy at all times, with a fantastic approach - very rate nowadays. These guys clearly enjoy their job and that means you will enjoy your stay.
We are only back this evening but feel the need to post this as a deserved thank you. We will also be booking the Novotel again for our next trip to Glasgow. Well done guys.

Room Tip: city central location but not noisy.

Just returned from a 2 night stay. Could not find fault with anything. Clean, warm comfortable rooms and friendly efficient staff. Although very handy for city centre we had no noise disturbance. Hope to stay here again.

This was a very nice hotel, and they are doing renovations to make it nicer, but be prepared for the mess. We found the front desk workers to be a little snippy, but maybe it was just the 2 we dealt with. If you want a base to explore Glasgow, this is a perfect place, as it's close to all the shopping, the University, and everything else you might want to see and do in Glasgow. However, for that same reason, it's a little noisy. Also, the rooms were pretty warm, and there wasn't a way to make them cooler, only warmer. We did open the windows, and that helped, but this it was a little loud. Again, this is a perfectly fine hotel, but nothing special. Good buffet style breakfast, though.

I stayed here for two nights during March 2011 while in Glasgow with work.

My room was a good size had decent bathroom and a reasonably comfortable bed.

The food at dinner time was ok although not great and quite expensive. The breakfast was good.

It seemed I was actually quite lucky because my collegues rooms were smaller and one of them stank of smoke clearly having been a smoking room in the past and was in need of decoration.

All in all it was quite expensive for the standard of rooms and hotel but I have certainly stayed in worse hotels.

We stayed here in late January, myself and my wife for three nights. While the hotel is not slap bang in the middle of the shops etc, it is a mere ten minute walk to Buchanna Galleries. Central Station is about 10-15 minute walk or about £3 in a taxi. So far me this hotel wa sgreat locationand just set 2 minutes from Sauchiehall Street.
The hotel is quite modern and really well appointed, the lobby area is really nice and guests can avail of the apple mac computers in the lobby while waiting for anything. Rooms were a good size, ours had a comfy sofa, table adnd chairs as well as a good bed and storage room aplenty. The bathroom was nice and the shower was excellent. The breakfast is on until 12 noon, which was so handy especially if you want to lay in bed a bit longer in the mornings! The full scottish breakfast was great and really set you up for the day and the dining area was very clean and tidy. There is a bar that stays open late for residents which on the saturday night had an impromptu irish traditional band playing a few tunes which was excellent way to end the night! Staff were pleasant and dealt with any queries promptly and politely, they only problem we had was after check in the roomkey didnt open the door but this was swiftly and satisfactorily resolved. We got a great deal through tripadvisor and id definitely lok to stay there again when i go back to glasgow

Good value for money, walking distance from city center, friendly staff, clean and spacious rooms. Good breakfast as well. Would definitely stay there again and recommend it. Maybe they could add more channel to the TV.
