Had a lovely time here last night. Food was fantastic, dessert was huge! All delicious and good value for money. Atmosphere was lovely, we were seated in booth. Highly recommend.

I booked this for colleagues, and was a bit nervous when we arrived in the fairly dark square and went down into the restaurant and it was pretty empty. The menu was superb, as was the food. My colleagues were all equally impressed. Will definitely return.

Another hidden gem in the city! Food was excellent, service very helpful and friendly. Would have liked to linger but had to get across to the Citizen's Theatre - short walk across the bridge. Worth another visit.

Dined at Cafe Source this week for the 3rd time (so have given it plenty opportunity!) First of all a complaint that I have had every time i have been is that when you walk in the door you are welcomed in the restaurant by a large pillar! Nobody to greet you and the bar staff cant see you because of the pillar! We stood for around 5 minutes then looked for a member of staff then had to queue at a very busy bar to let someone know that we had booked a table! Off putting at the begining!!

Once we were seated the waitress was lovely, very chatty and helpfull. The started was mediocre (actually a bit bland) but the main was lovely! We did have to wait quite a while for our wine and one major complain I have is that there was a folk night on upstairs and we had a constant steam of people walking past our table going to the folk night then in and out constantly for many of the breaks having a cigarette and then again when it finished! Also I compained to the waitress about there being no soap in the ladies toilet (unless you are a minger this is not acceptable in a restaurant) I was told it would be attended to but it wasn't!!

In short...................the food is ok and the staff are very pleasant but they really need to sort out everything else! So if you don't mind unhygienic toilets and a constant trail of people through the restaurant then you may enjoy this.
