I was looking forward to staying here given it's no.1 rating on TripAdvisor. There's nothing necessarily *that* wrong with the hotel, but there are better places in town. Sleep quality was poor given the amount of noise both from the corridor and the room next door - this wasn't people shouting, just the amount of movement on the floorboards made it more like staying in a house than a decent hotel. (Sitting at the desk, I could feel the chair shaking as the person next door walked around!)

Presentation wise, the decor is nice - not as outrageous as Malmaison, but certainly not a beige box room that would typify many city centre hotels. Nice shower, fluffy towels & good quality bedding.

This is a minor point, but when the hotel has gone for a funky design, put a door on the office behind reception - peering into an unsightly pile of multicoloured files really does erode the perception.

Thank you for taking the time to post your review. We are absolutely aware that Tripadvisor is totally subjective and recognise that as one of it's strengths. We get some very positive feedback on the sleep quality experience that our guests experience so we are disappointed to read that you felt this was a weakness.

Very friendly staff, superbly appointed. Very Comfortable beds. Food very good although a bit on the pricey side. Décor interesting, still trying to work out all the Glasgow characters in the mural in reception.

Room Tip: All rooms were superbly appointed.

For a chain hotel the Indigo is certainly distinctive. Was keen to stay here and try it out after all the very positive reviews (and current Trip Advisor number 1 rating for Glasgow).

Was especially pleased to book at short notice on the stay 2 nights pay for 1 deal for Priority Club members. Allocated a lime green room, I see from the photos some are shocking pink. The decor and furnishing is of a high standard, and the bathroom very high quality (although there is only a walk in shower, no bath) surprised that bathrobes are available only 'on request' and woud have expected this to be waiting in the room.

The Indigo is worth paying a little extra for, certainly it is way better than the Holiday Inn (part of the same hotel group) but not as luxurious as the Blythswood Square. But the sound proofing and air conditioning are quieter at the Premier Inn Buchanan Galleries where if I'm honest I slept the best of all. The air con is was a bit noisy and I could hear other guests both in the corridor and upstairs. Would stay again but only on a deal.

Starting this one early.

Never stayed in an Indigo before and I'd heard good things about them.

Arrived on a snowy Sunday night and was pleased at my reception; girl on the desk couldn't have been more helpful or friendly. Check in was smooth and there's a car park right next door.

Room was lovely with the usual boutique 'charms' of quirky décor, furniture and that high-class bordello feel to it.

Bed was comfy and pillows just right. Enough space but if I had a partner we'd have struggled for storage and clothing space. Amenities were up to the usual standard for this class of hotel; white stuff in the bathroom, fluffy towels, huge wet room, lit shaving mirror and so on.

So why the early review?

Well, a couple of niggles.

The air con controls didn't work and was crudely screwed into the wall so the control panel facia didn't reach the buttons.

The TV needs to be on a folding bracket so you can watch it from other than the bed.

Wi-Fi signal in the room was weak to non-existent (why do so many hotels suffer from this?)

And the biggie. 1st trip to the breakfast restaurant saw me sitting like a lemon for 15 minutes waiting for scrambled egg and bacon on toast. Really, ignoring a guest at breakfast is like farting at a wedding while the Bride's Father is doing his speech.

TBC.

Room Tip: Get one close to the lifts unless you like exercise.

Thank you for your frank and colourful review of your recent stay. I would like to re-iterate the personal apology I offered you during your stay, regarding the error made at breakfast. As I stressed then, this was a human error and not borne out of a desire to ignore out guests. I hope that you enjoyed the welcome tray sent to your room as a gesture of our desire to make amends. We do appreciate all the feedback we receive and, as I mentioned to you, I am grateful that you brought it to my attention straight away.

We recently stayed for a 3 night break at Hotel Indigo. The Hotel is well located for the City centre.
The Hotel staff were excellent and took a genuine interest in our stay, they could not have been more helpful. We dined in the Hotels Limelight restaurant and the food was superb. Rooms are very smart and well equipped - Overall we had an excellent stay

Room Tip: Best rooms seem to be at the front and side of the Hotel

We stayed in this hotel as part of a weekend wedding party, and had a ball.
From a Friday night singing session in the bar, to another late night session on Saturday after the wedding, the staff were patient, polite, and good fun.
Service, standards, facilities, and staff were all fantastic.

Great stay in a great hotel.

Room Tip: We were in a 5th floor room...fantastic!

We chose this hotel for my parents anniversary based on the high qaulity of service that this hotel offers and also it's excellent location.

We only stayed a night and the check in was quick and easy. We dumped our bags and headed downstairs to the bar. The bar staff couldnt have been more helpful and polite, nothing was a problem and they could make pretty much any cocktail you want!

The rooms were big, spacious and very comfy, the mini bar could have been slightly better stocked with 2 of everything (juice, crisps biscuits etc) but this wasnt really an issue. The bathroom was massive, well the shower was and very clean!

Our disappointment came the next morning however, the four of us went down for our inclusive breakfast. We were kept waiting at the "please wait to be seated" sign for at least 5 minutes before being shown to a table with only half of the cutlery set and no one seemed to pick up on this until we asked for another 2 sets. We were offered coffee or tea to start off which was fine, but then we discovered we had no teaspoons, salt or milk and had to ask for each of these things to be provided. The breakfast itself "scottish breakfast" was not of the best quality, and wasn't particularly big but as it was included in the price I wouldnt complain, however I wouldnt have paid the almost £7 they were asking for it on the menu.

Overall the stay was fantastic and would still recommend the hotel highly, but please take caution with breakfast! Maybe this was just a one off?
