“Outstanding Service at Glasgow Hotel Indigo”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 June 2014

We arrived in Glasgow on an early flight from the United States at 7 AM. We arrived at the Hotel Indigo @ 8 AM and by 9 AM we were resting in our room! This has been the first time ever in the UK over many years that a hotel has let us check in during the morning. Usually we have to wait until later in the afternoon. This meant a lot to us that the Hotel would do this. The good service continued for a whole week. The front desk was always very accomodating when making restaurant reservations or giving directions or doing a wake up call. The room was always made up in a timely fashion. The room was very nice and the bed was comfortable. It had a very lovely bathroom with a shower only. The only con of the room was that for two people staying for a week the closet was very small. If we returned we would not take the room with breakfast as we thought breakfast was average and the same everyday. There are many breakfast places very nearby. We had a wonderful time and very good weather. Glasgow is a clean city and architecturally beautiful. Lots of nice restaurants, good shopping and very friendly people! The museums are very interesting and free! Also, Glasgow is close to the highlands and has many good day trips. We felt that 5-7 days was a good time span to enjoy Glasgow.

Room Tip: This hotel had an excellent location for walking around the city. We felt the larger chain hotels w...

We used Hotel indigo as a base when we attended a gig at The Hydro, it was perfect, the hotel it's self was fresh, clean and had extremely comfy beds, staff were friendly and helpful, we had breakfast included, which was a cooked buffet, it was nice but service was a wee bit slow, so would maybe not choose this again, but all in all a great visit! Just wanted to stay in bed all day!

Conveniently located walking distance from the main areas of town with a multi-story car park opposite.
The rooms are perhaps a little small for the price, but nicely equipped with a good working area and smart bathroom. Worth a look.

One of the best boutique hotels I've stayed in for a long time. Location is perfect, right in the centre of Glasgow very close to all bars and restaurants, minutes walk away from the central train station and close to many of the centres offices for business travellers. Room was beautifully decorated, added extras of complimentary mini bar and Aveda toiletries were lovely touches. Had room service for dinner and breakfast, both were lovely and staff were friendly and helpful. If I really had to think hard about a negative the only thing I would say is the Wifi in my room was quite weak. Other than that this is a wonderful hotel and a thoroughly lovely place to stay and a very good price

We enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Hotel Indigo. The wifi was not working properly when we first arrived and shortly after we informed the from desk, it was fixed. Very helpful personnel at the front desk. Nice comfortable room with some little extras, soft drinks and chips in the room.

Great hotel -- perfect city centre location near airport bus stop and Central rail station; comfortable rooms; concierge Colm went out of his way several times to be informative and helpful. Great stay in Glasgow.

I arrived very late at night, but the staff were still bright and welcoming. Having requested a high floor, I was pleased to be given a room on the corner of the 4th floor, very bright in the day, with good views all round. At night the lighting wasn't the best, and the bathroom lights were poor.
The location was very handy for the Central Station (and its fab champagne bar!), shops and restaurants, and was surprisingly quiet at night. I definitely recommend the location - close enough to everything, but not slap bang in the middle of the noise and bustle.
I didn't find the breakfasts as bad as some other reviewers. As I'm coeliac I have to eat a gluten free diet, and the waiters were always very attentive at bringing me gluten free toast in the mornings, and remembered after the first morning. I had a meal in the bar one evening, and was provided with a fantastic gluten free club sandwich - which wasn't actually on the menu!
Generally, this is a good hotel with exceptionally friendly, professional and helpful staff, a bit out of the ordinary compared to the usual Holiday Inns or Hiltons in its stylishness.
