“Love the Green”
Reviewed 2 September 2013

Well worth visit if you are a tourist or a native Glaswegian. Disabled friendly as the Green is predominantly flat and interlaced with well maintained paths. If you have kid theres an amazing enclosed outdoor play area with climbing frames and slides. I only wish i was 10 again and i woud be in there playing !! Well done Glasgow for keeping one of our " dear green places" in great condition. The only downside is getting parked as this place is very popular.

“The worlds”
Reviewed 18 August 2013

Such a stirring site each morning before the events start. A wee bit of organizational issues this year being the first two day event!! The day only gets better with the hum of the pipe drones and the time in of the pipes as each band tunes up. Yes, the World PIPe band Championships are on again.

“good free day out”
Reviewed 16 August 2013

entertaining kids can be expensive these days but a trip to glasgow green is healthy and educational day out for kids.i take my boys to the peoples palace where they can learn about glasgow in the "olden days" inparticular they like the bomb shelter and gas masks, twenty minutes or so then they love to play in the kids play area nearby with lots of things to climb and jump off safely because it is set in sand, they can easily spend an hour or more here burning off energy.

“Peoples Palace.”
Reviewed 22 July 2013

The Peoples palace and the Glasgow Green are east to find, free and accessible from all sides. We found a free parking lot on the south side of the A74, King's Drive right at the Glasgow Green Football Centre. I imagine it would be used more once the schools are out for the summer.

You have the peoples palace, which histories Glasgow, the dalton fountain and they do a guided walk round the park including the many monuments. Often this park holds concerts and the Glasgow family day. Dont miss it. The council clean the park regularly. You can lunch inside the green and ride a bike round the paths.
