I had a very good overnight stay hotel is spotless and well maintained but was woke up at 9am with the window cleaner .
I had planned on booking this hotel again but feel that £59 is slightly overpriced and now iv looked to rebook and the price has jumped by another £20 a night to £79 don't know if this is due to fair fortnight or because of commonwealth games !

I have stayed in many travelodges in my time as I find they are cheap and cheerful and do the job as a base when on holiday and not spending much time in the hotel. This said, I think we got the worst possible deal with this particular travelodge. Room was tiny - it contained a double bed and that was it - and we could barely walk round it as there was so little room. The tiny window looked out onto the fire escapee and other rooms which looked just as dire as the one we were in. It was very dark and dingy with no sun light coming in and the bathroom - if you could call it that, was right at the door and was again absolutely tiny. Had one drink at the bar which was over priced and had no atmosphere as we were the only people in it. Overall very unimpressed with this travelodge.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was perfectly clean. Bedding was immaculate and bed itself was very comfortable. No noise from outside. Location was perfect for our purpose. Would definitely stay again.

I stopped in Glasgow and having stayed in this hotel chain before, I was aware that it was a bare bones hotel.

However, this one was a nightmare. Not only did my shower not work in the AM, forcing me to wash my hair in the bathtub, the hotel receptionist offered me a half-price voucher through email which I never received.

I also heard a domestic violence incident near me the night before that woke me up.

The hotel was located in a seedy part of the city as well and having a back room, I could see a man hanging out outside.

As I mentioned, this had to be the pits of my travels as to customer service.

Room Tip: Avoid, unless desperate.

First choice hotel in Glasgow for the last 10 years. It's been done up and is very clean, staff have always been nice. Never had a problem. It's basic and all you need if your down for a concert or just a weekender. Its a sobering walk from all the nightlife and perfect for gigs at the O2. It really is all you need for weekends away. We tried the Thistle across the road from it once and regretted it as it's too snooty. Don't think they like pissed up rockers coming back at 4am with pizza LOL. I just stayed here again for two nights for a weekender with my mates and they didn't have any problems either. To sum it up, its basic and clean, reasonably priced, food if you want it and perfect for weekenders, be it shopping or drinking due to it's great location.

I stayed in Glasgow recently for one night and ended up at at this hotel I have stayed in travel lodge before in the south but wasn't a fan however this hotel was much better and I would have no problem staying there again. The location is great you are close to many shops and restaurants and the train station is within a 15 minute walk.

I have stayed here a couple of times when visiting Glasgow; the most recent time being on 13/02/2014.

The location is good but that is really all you are paying for. The rooms are as you would expect at this price point; basic, very tired and not particularly clean. If everything works in the room then that will be a bonus. Having said that, staff try their best and are both attentive and helpful.

I have stayed in two of the Premier Inns in Glasgow on recent trips (sometimes offered at the same price and at worst only about £10 more expensive per night).

I have to say that, even if it's going to cost a little more, it really is worth it to stretch to the Premier Inn.

Room Tip: Book a Premier Inn instead. Lenny Henry is no mug.
