We stayed here whilst in town for a recent Xmas shopping trip. Great central location, rooms very clean and staff very friendly.
The breakfast was tasty, a good selection of cereals, cooked breakfast, etc.
The only small issue was the heat of the room during the night. Even with the radiator in our room turned right down it was still REALLY warm.
Free Wi-fi, free Sky HD and a couple of tasty treats in the room.

We bought the itison voucher offering b&b for £45 per room and thought what do we have to lose. What we had to lose had we not bought it was finding this little gem of a place!!

We arrived just after check in and our room wasn't quite ready. The hotel was busy the previous evening and reception apologised that it would be 5 mins. This wasn't a problem however instead of waiting the receptionist decided to give us another room. We were in Room 605 on the rear of the hotel over the train station. Great view and very quiet.

We knew from reading the reviews that the room wouldn't be huge however I can completely guarantee it is adequate for a couple of night stay. If Ikea did hotels....it would look like Grasshoppers.

The room was spotless clean and spot on for our requirements. Comfy bed, great shower, sky hd tv package with all movies and sports, arran aromatics toiletries, complimentary water and smarties. But more importantly....ground coffee and a cafetiere in your room....lots of very nice touches and attention to detail.

I know someone has commented about no storage space however storing my case under the bedside cabinet was more than adequate and didn't get in the way.

We were in a rush on exit therefore we did rush breakfast however I wish we had time to be more leisurely over it. 'The kitchen' is a nice setting and what we did have was gorgeous.

To sum up, great location, great room, great breakfast and great customer service. What more can you ask for? I would have no doubts in recommending Grasshoppers....so much so we have rebooked for Hogmanay this year. Can't wait to stay again in the hotel :-)

Room Tip: ask for a room over the station at the back for a quiet night. although on the 6th floor can't i...

We stayed for two nights at Grasshoppers in November. This was booked by my fiancee as a birthday treat and it certainly didn't disappoint. The location is amazing, so central and an ideal base for wandering around Glasgow. Service was of the highest possible standard and the chap manning reception (the student!) was fantastic. The room was furnished to a high standard and more than adequate for a 2 night break. The only slight niggle was that although the heating was off, there was a hot pipe that blasted heat throughout the bedroom and could not be turned off etc. This meant that on one night we were too heat and when we opened the window on the second night, building work across the road wasn't conducive to a good night's sleep. That said, still a fantastic find! Breakfast again was of a high standard and the whole Grasshoppers concept is unique and no doubt going to be very successful!

Room Tip: Maybe go for central station side.

We visited this hotel for a two day break at the beginning of December. I know Glasgow quite well so I knew where I was going.
This hotel is great in the fact you wouldn't know it was a hotel from first glance as you go up a few stairs into a corridor area and it reminded me of an office block.
Lift up to the 6th floor and what a difference from what we seen previously.
Sean was very helpful and we got checked in 35 mins before check in time.
The room was very clean, modern and enough room for what we needed it for....sleep!
There was complimentary water and chocolate which was a nice touch.
We had a main street facing room and the noise was nowhere near as loud as we had experienced around the corner in another large hotel at Central Station.
The only fault I would have with this hotel was the dining. The kitchen was very small, it put us off sitting the second morning, as on the first a woman came in,in her sleepwear, no slippers or underwear and proceeded to move around this small space making toast! The second morning we grabbed a tray and took it back to our room.

I would however, go back and just skip breakfast as it was a nice hotel, at a good price and conveniently located. The staff were friendly and helpful and it was small, quiet and extremely clean with all the mod cons in the room.

Great hotel with great location. Despite being so close to the train station we experienced no noise at all. The room and hotel overall was very clean and rooms modern. The staff were very friendly as was the choice of breakfast in the morning. Would def recommend this hotel, we will return again in the future also.

Great central location with discounted car parking. Room lovely - decor traditional/modern. No noise problems either from train station at rear or road at front - hotel on sixth floor. Breakfast was great. Staff young, friendly and very helpful. Only problem....which wasn't the hotel's fault....was the fire alarm at 3am, followed by a walk down six flights into the cold morning as a result of the basement nightclub in a nearby building letting off a smoke bomb. Not a great start to my girlfriend's birthday! But.....Would definitely stay again!

We booked this through an Itison deal so paid £45 for 2 people for the saturday night.Had phoned the hotel before hand and spoke to Sean who was very professional and was so helpful. On arrival to the hotel which we found no problem as the direction on their website were excellent.
On being met at reception by Mark who was friendly and helpful and showed us the breakfast room and then to our room.
The room was very minimalist which I love.It had everything you needed.Excellent sky hd package. The room had amazing bed and bedding was first class had an excellent sleep.
They had also put in a bottle of sparkling water and still water and a tube of smarties which was a nice touch. When you went to get milk we were giving mini muffins another nice touch.
Breakfast was fantastic with a variety of cereals and freash fruit and cheeses. The cooked breakfast was lovely and the scrambled eggs freshly made to order were the best I have ever had in a hotel.
I will definitely stay here again especially for its central location and friendly staff.

would recommend this to anyone.
