“Heritage hotel first class stay”
Reviewed 10 June 2014

Stayed here for one night as we were going to a party at Oran Mor which is about 5 minutes walk from hotel. Bit of a hassle to get to by car but we eventually managed to get a parking space on Cecil street. Jim the reception guy was very pleasant and filled us in nicely on where room was , breakfast times etc. Room was a great size. We booked a twin but got a triple. Room very clean and spacious with huge ceilings. Clean bedding and the en suite was. Decent size too with one of the most amazing showers I have ever had in a hotel. Multi function nozzles and nice and warm. Only thing to let this hotel down was the breakfast. 1 small turkey rasher which was in edible and a hard overlooked sausage. Egg and mushrooms were ok though. Will deffo be back

This hotel is in a very good location for any activity at the University. The room was clean and comfortable and breakfast was very good. You definitely get 'Buns of steel' going up and down the stairs which was great exercise for us. I would recommend this hotel. We had a room at the back of the hotel which was quiet and we didn't hear any noise from the Great Western Road. It was a couple of blocks walking to some great restaurants and the University.

Room Tip: Request a quiet room away from the street.

My partner and i have just come back from a 2 night stay at this hotel, location is fantastic, room was a good size, we had the room in the basement. It was nicely decorated and clean. TV was a bit small but really its not why I came away for the weekend. When we checked in, Jim the reception guy was very helpful and pleasant, The cooked breakfast was a little disappointing but overall it actually wouldn't stop me staying there. If you consider that the Hilton nearby is over double the rate, if you want to stay up the west end then the Heritage is more than acceptable. We also managed to park our car round the back. I would recommend this place to friends

Stayed Easter Saturday for West End eating, drinking & charity shopping. Got taxi to Cecil Street (another trippers tip - thank you) easy access to the rooftop location above Great Western Road shops/ eateries. What a lovely hotel!! Nicely decorated & immaculate. Staff all very welcoming and enjoyed our wee chats with the really nice male receptionist in the evening. Ideally located for all our needs. Breakfast very good. We'll definitely booking again.

We stayed here for one night, 5 min walk to the Queen Margaret Union for a gig. Close to shops and restaurants. Friendly staff, clean spacious rooms. Good value for money, plenty choice at breakfast time. The only thing to watch for is the stairs if you have mobility problems, theres no lift so you may want a lower floor. Would stay again

Pretty basic really, parking is limited, but considering where you are, and the variety of places you can see and visit, you can't knock it. I wouldn't necessarily always come back, but wouldn't rule it out either ...

I stayed here as I was at an event at the Oran Mor venue which was two minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel is slightly away from but facing the main Great Western Road but I was not affected by noise at any point during my stay. The bedroom and bathrooms were of decent size - exceeding what i was expecting for the price I paid. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Television, lighting, water and heat were all easily adjustable, decor very nice, staff very friendly. The breakfast was exceptional and the service from the staff excellent. I cannot fault this hotel at all. The city centre was easily reached by a bus which stopped, as I remember, about 100 yards from the hotel and picked up almost opposite the hotel on the other side of the road.

Room Tip: I believe I was not facing the road which I guess obviously helped with any noise concerns someone m...
