Staff are very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was super....can't remember when, or if, I was ever offered peanut butter at breakfast but I love it!! Room was small but adequate for a city stay as we tend not to spend a lot of time there anyway. This hotel is perfect for position in Glasgow. A walk away from the city centre and a good walk from the west end, if you like walking. Just across from the Theatre Royal. Room showing its age now, wee bit shabby with wear and tear but would not prevent me from a return visit. Our room overlooked the main road so was a bit noisy. For the money, this hotel was really good.

Room Tip: Try to stay on the first floor as our room was on the second floor and there was a noise during the...

Thank you for taking time to comment about your recent stay. It is good to hear that you found the hotel handy and convenient for the city centre. We may be at the top of town, but directly in the centre of Glasgow’s Theatreland and at the start of the ‘Style Mile’ Glasgow’s shopping district.

We love peanut butter and like to ensure there is a large mix of condiments for breakfast to ensure you have all the home comforts required when away from home! We offer not just fruity Scottish jams but lemon curd, marmalade, crunchy and smooth peanut butter and love it or hate it...even marmite!

We hope to welcome you back soon.

We had our civil partnership here and it was the most fantastic day. All the staff were great from start to finish and I could not fault anything. The food was amazing both the meal and the canapés, the service was great and the drink was reasonably priced.

We had booked all the rooms in the hotel and everyone was very satisfied with them. They were very clean and comfortable all with good quality en-suite bathrooms, and if you get a room to the front of the hotel you get fab view of the town.

Everyone was delighted with the breakfast and it had something on the menu to cure everyone’s hangover.

I would definitely recommend this as a venue for any kind of celebration large or small.

Room Tip: All rooms are good, but if you want a view of the city then ask for one at the front.

My wife and I stayed here twice during our 3 week trek around Scotland. It's located at the top of a main road that is 2 blocks from a main shopping district. Immediately nearby are several pubs, restaurants, cafe's, and car parks. There is a train station and bus depot a few blocks away.

The staff were some of the friendliest folks we met while touring around. They were very accommodating at the hotel, and helpful with directions to popular sights and shopping in the city.

I was pleasantly surprised at how impressive the meals were presented. Everything was very flavorful...a treat for the eyes and palate!

The room was exactly what we needed, a clean and quiet place to rest for the evening. Our room and shower was clean (I saw no mold/mildew as in some other hotels we stayed at in our 3 week tour around the country). The TV was small, but we weren't in Scotland to watch TV so it didn't bother us.

The bed was 2 twins set together and we did occasionally slip into the gap between them but it just made is chuckle at each other. A band around the 2 beds to hold them together could be a good upgrade item to consider.

If you are looking for an affordable centrally located hotel with access to shopping and restaurants, quiet spot to rest comfortably, a hearty traditional Scottish breakfast, great food and coffee then this is definitely worth it!

Room Tip: I don't know if the room configurations remain a constant, but 7 & 8 had 2 twins together fo...

We had friends up visiting from Yorkshire, Scottish and one a piper so thought we would stay there as a sort of gimmick, piping etc etc. Well we thoroughly enjoyed it, rooms spotless, great breakfast and staff so friendly. Our friends thoroughly enjoyed it, they also visited the museum and made some purchases at the shop. Would definitely go back

Stayed in the hotel after recommendations from friends and was not disappointed. Superb location just minutes walking distance from main Shopping areas in Glasgow. Staff were very helpful and rooms were clean and comfortable. After seeing the menu we decided to eat in the restaurant and were thoroughly impressed. The same staff who welcomed us to the hotel were working in the restaurant that evening and were terrific, despite the restaurant being very busy. All Scottish produce and very reasonably priced, it was a terrific meal from start to finish! The hotel and restaurant are a real hidden gem and we will definitely be returning on our next visit to Glasgow.

Warm and friendly welcome and nothing was too much trouble during our stay. The staff let us have a late check out and brought breakfast to our room when my friend became ill overnight. I would not hesitate to stay here again and I will recommend the hotel to everyone looking for a hidden gem in Glasgow. Fantastic!!!!

Small hotel right in Centre of Glasgow. Very convenient for main shopping areas and theatres. Could do with a bit of touching up and carpets renewed, but was clean and had everything you need. Great breakfast (even for vegetarian). Staff very friendly. Good value
