“Fantastic Location to Explore Glasgow”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 August 2014

We used the Tryst as a centre to explore Glasgow for a couple of days. An ideal location to explore the city, The rooms were spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The meals in the restaurant were excellent and the service very good. Continental breakfast were included. A cooked breakfast extra. The hotel has a unique feel to it and is not one of a large chain. The staff were very helpful and the museum next door very interesting

Room Tip: Be aware that there is no lift in the hotel.

Small hotel. Centrally located. Good food , pity it lacks a lounge. Rooms are smallish but adequate. Stayed during Commonwealth Games high price but nothing compared to bigger hotels in city centre. We were made very welcome.

Friendly, warm welcomes always make you feel at ease - add to this excellent advice on things to see and do and you can't really go wrong. Room was clean and comfortable, wifi was good - stairs only (split over two floors) - so you need to be OK with that.

Quiet location, close to metro or a short wander down town (Glasgow School of Art 10 mins, George Square 15 mins, Central Station 10 mins - all mainly downhill from the hotel...catch the metro home if you're feet are sore on the return journey - it's quick and easy).

Breakfast was what you wanted it to be - as little or as much as you fancied...but if you'd eaten in the excellent on site restaurant the night before, then the simple continental (included) is probably more than sufficient!

Don't miss the museum next door...all you wanted to know about Piping but were too afraid to ask.

I have used the National Piping Centre's Pipers Tryst Hotel many many times, over the years, and it truly is first class in every respect. It is spotlessly clean, well managed, quiet, comfortable - the staff are friendly and courteous and it is excellent in every regard.

Room Tip: All rooms excellent but my personal favourites are 8, 7, 6, 2, 3

As always we enjoyed our stay in the hotel. Sure to be again when a deal is available. I would say it is one of the best deals offered. Staff and service are always of a high standard. Love the breakfast as it keeps you going all day.

Staff friendly, room was lovely, looking out over Glasgow. We had a very tasty meal in the evening and breakfast was delicious. Would recommend a visit. Hotel is near transport links and there is ample car parks in the area.

What a great spot to stay in Glasgow! Very easy to find by car, literally right on the main motorway that comes down from the north. (Just have your GPS on to navigate the roundabouts.) Easy to park nearby on the street or in the garage just behind. The staff was friendly, kind and helpful. A wee little reception area/restaurant, then up stairs to the bedrooms, which were nicely sized and comfortable. The food was fantastic! We are vegetarian and loved the squash ravioli. The main pedestrian shopping street was just a block or two away, and many good restaurants in the area. Easy to get to the museums too. Best of all the price was very reasonable. Perfect choice for a city stay in Glasgow.
