I stayed for three nights over Easter, and for the price I felt I got excellent value. The location is a little residential crescent, with gardens about ten minutes walk uphill of the SECC. Ten minutes walk takes you by a different route to the start of the city centre. Two streets away are buses and small supermarkets. About a minute away is the main park.
Car parking is free after 6pm Fridays and all weekend. If you over pay, the meter carries forward into the next working day, which could be after the weekend. Between 8 and 6pm you can pay for a max of four hours. For longer term, then a couple of streets up hill you can pay for all day. Some free street parking near the SECC.
The room I had was a twin at the front. It was well turned out and very clean. The shower was easy to work and powerful. There were some comments about noise at the front, which is where I was. I did not really notice it. Wifi is free.
Breakfast is included and you can get the Scots fry up (British Heart Foundation Breakfast) or your selection from toast, eggs, cereal, bacon.
Staff are 24 hours and were all very friendly. I felt looked after. This place is on my list of places to look first.More
