we were required to visit Glasgow at short notice, and having stayed at the Sandyford previously,i gave them a call and Daniel on the front desk managed to find us 3 nights stay almost immediately ,for which we were very grateful. As always the room was very clean and spacious,and the breakfast great. Best value for money in Glasgow.

This is a budget hotel. Plain and simple. Rack rate was £65 for a double room with breakfast. We paid £45 through Bookings.com. I would have been unhappy to pay more and one night was enough. We travelled as a couple but were given a family room. The double bed was two singles pushed together (not unusual) but here there was a large gap between the two. The mattress was uncomfortable and of poor quality so a good night's sleep eluded me. Also this wasn't helped by customers coming out of the pub next door very much the worse for wear and shouting loudly until the early hours . (This was unfortunate and obviously the hotel had no control over this) The view from the window was depressing - a small courtyard which could have been really pretty but was completely over-grown, heavily littered and with several large waste bins.
The shower for the family room was one of the smallest cubicles I've encountered and with no shower gel or shampoo provided (the shower dispenser in the cubicle was empty) and no hair dryer in the room.
This hotel is very basic and in need of some TLC;
Location-wise it is in a slightly shabby area about a 20 minute walk from the city centre (but on a bus route.) However there is a lovely park right next door and the super Kelvingrove museum which is definitely worth a visit.is a very short stroll away.
A full breakfast was included but my poached egg was served hard and swimming in water, My husband's full Scottish breakfast was fine however and the generous portions obviated any need for lunch. Service was quick and pleasant from friendly waitresses. The breakfast room is in the basemnet and was a little airless but ok. However it was quite small and could not cope with the number of guests who appeared so some were turned away and asked to wait in reception for up to half an hour until a table became available. This could probably be solved if the hotel extended their Serving Time. Breakfast finished at 8.30. so everyone was trying to get in at around the same time. 8.30 seems a very early cut-off time for people who may be on holiday.

On the positive side, the staff were all very pleasant and despite the negatives here I am not complaining - just stating facts. It is true 'you get what you pay for' For the price we paid I absolutely could not complain but I would not stay here at the rack rate.

This hotel is very basic but perfect for what I needed. I stayed over on one night before a conference at the SECC. The hotel was ideally situated for the conference centre which was just a short walk away.
I believe our company only paid £23 for a single room for the night which is amazing and the room was great for that price. I was given a twin room which had a flat screen TV and wifi. The hotel could do with a lick of paint or some renovation but the price isn't expensive by any means and I was very happy with my stay.

Stayed here in second week of August. It was a pleasant stay. The staff was nice and helpful, with extremely good breakfast. Worth the stay!
Good count of eateries were nearby (walking distance)
The only hitch was no lifts and room was on 3rd floor.

We stayed here last year- end of June,start of July for 1week & we had a brillitant stay. The staff where very nice.When we checked in they told us all about the hotel & facilties & provided us with the wi-fi password.
Room was on the 1st floor & it over looked the main road which was great- as we where able to see an Indian Wedding party arrive in the hotel opposite. The room was big as was the bathroom.
The breakfast was out of this world. We where asked if we wanted seconds-which we didn't as we had had enough.
The rooms where cleaned daily, to perfection.
We really had a lovely stay here & would recommend anyone to stay here.

This hotel advertises itself as a boutique hotel! Nothing could be further from the truth. The first room they offered was 4 flights up a dingy stair case (no lifts) it's was tiny with a sloping roof. They changed it to one on the 3rd floor which was slightly better. No soap and tatty towels, no table lamps and cheap MFI furniture. The only plus side to this hotel are the staff who were very friendly and obliging. The girls in the breakfast room were exceptionally nice. The Breakfast was served in a very cramped breakfast room and was adequate enough though the tables were reset for the next morning during breakfast which means they are left uncovered for 24 hours (including the sugar bowl) very unhygienic. Would not stay in this hotel again.

Stayed here for approx 4 weeks between mid June-mid July as my son was an outpatient at yorkhill hopsital for this duration. Staff very friendly and would go out of there way to offer help and support to make this challenging time away from home that little bit easier!! Especially Daniel on reception who went that extra mile to help!! It is in a great location close to yorkhill hospital, and everythign you could ever need clsoe, by, shops, bars, restaurants, kelvingrove park and the kelvingrove musuem just being a few of the amenities clsoe by, overall it was a great to place to stay and the rooms were excellent and the rate included a full cooked breakfast every morning. highly reccoment this hotel and next time we are in Glasgow we will be staying here
