Only stayed here for one evening but was really pleased with every aspect of hotel. Nice clean airy rooms with very comfortable beds and good facilities. Very polite and friendly staff and a very enjoyable cooked breakfast. Could not fault anything and will return again if we ever visit this lovely City again.

Stayed on the 21st June, took about 15 minutes to find a parking space, probably because there is no pay and display on Saturday and Sunday. The usual friendly service on check in ,and off to the Hydro for a concert - 15 minutes walk.

After the concert, I returned to my room and tried to get a good nights sleep - but this was very difficult due to the amount of noise from outside the room - this was exacerbated by having to keep the bedroom window open, as it was a very warm night.

I eventually dropped off, only to be woken again before 7am, by someone outside playing guitar and treating everyone to a few songs, including a passable version of Mustang Sally

As per usual, a good cooked breakfast, efficiently served, - and a few coffees recharged the batteries enough for the trip back home, but I could have done with a better sleep.

I would still use the Sandyford for the Hydro, SECC etc as the location is great, but not the external entertainment.

Chose this hotel due to its location near the Hydro, nice reception area but I found the bedroom very tired and basic. The outlook from the room was very poor, overgrown rear area strewn with rubbish and stored goods from the adjoining area. The rear lane was full of overflowing rubbish collection bins, a poor advert for a City due to hold the upcoming Commonwealth Games. We were kept awake most of the night from the noise from the air conditioning unit from one of the adjoining business premises. The window had been jammed open so we couldn't cut the noise out. Also in the morning we discovered too late that they had no soap available in the shower. Very basic Hotel.

Hotel very dated and a bit far from town centre about 10 mins in a taxi.Receptionist helpful. room not good floorboards creaking floor not level carpet torn no toiletries in bathroom just a small piece of soap shower area looked as though it could be doing with a good clean.
Poor sleep due to noise inside and outside no bar in hotel plenty round about the only good point was breakfast really good although a bit greasy won't be going back.
