It's a hospitable place with extremely friendly staff and a perfect location on a quiet street just in a few steps to the city center.

The staff were super friendly and helpful, and the place was clean. Breakfast was included, and readily customized. With it being only a 5-10 minute walk from downtown, it was easy to get around. I'd definitely stay again!

McLays Guest House offered much more than I expected. Our room was clean and comfortable and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. There were no issues with noise or other guests. We also had a car and had no trouble with on-street parking. In addition to the full Scottish breakfast, they also served coffee, tea, juice, yogurt, and cereal. This was a wonderful place and I would definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: room at the back if you don't like a slight pounding for a couple of hours around midnight not a...

Great location, friendly staff, awesome value for money. Could do with a bit of redecorating, apart from that its a good place to stay. Second time there, so I definitely would go back.

I stayed here for a night and didn't have very high expectations because it was so cheap but was shocked when I checked in to find such a nice place. It's very homely and the rooms are great value for money. All the staff were very helpful and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
