i stay in hotels on a regular basis but have never felt the need to leave a review for any hotel i have stayed at...however after staying at the "luxury" number 10 hotel in Glasgow i feel i need to warn other users of the appalling state of this hotel. I booked the hotel on a good rate direct through the hotel website - after reading review the hotel is rated as a 4 star luxury boutique hotel - so i was expecting something quiet nice when i arrived...i could not have been more wrong!! After arriving at number 10 i was greeted by an empty reception area and was left standing there for around ten minutes before anyone came to assist me! One of the first things i was told is that there is a function on in the hotel and it would be noisy up until 12pm..which is fine although i feel this was a strange thing to tell me as before anything else? I was then booked in and given my room key..room number 21..on entering the room the first thing i noticed was how small it was..very cramped!..on further investigation i began to realize exactly how filthy, dirty and rundown the room i had been given was..for any hotel to class and advertise themselves as a luxury 4star boutique hotel and then allow guest to stay in accommodation such is this is an absolute disgrace!!! i have stayed in better much cleanser 3 star accommodation in the UK! I had built this up to be a little bit of luxury after being on the hotels website and also checking review on trip advisor - as said i stay in various hotels around the city and never felt the need to leave a review - however this time i feel i will make an exception so other travelers are not as disappointed as i am if planning to stay in number ten..this is not a negative review for the sake of it..i was appalled and embarrassed about the state of the room i was given, i have attached various photos to show exactly how filthy and run down this room was!!!there where holes in the lamp shades, damp marks all over the walls, filthy shower head, door handles falling off, broken wardrobes filthy window frames, marks on bed sheets...call this Luxury boutique???? I did receive it at a good rate but i do not expect for any half decent hotel to be in as bad a state as this! I would never stay at this hotel again and would advise anyone who is planning to book a room here to avoid the misleading reviews and hotel website and have a look at the picture i have loaded as this is what the hotel is really like!! on leaving the hotel the following morning and letting the reception know of the state of my room - i was given a half hearted apology and told this was not the standard that the hotel expects of their rooms..unfortunatley this is the standard!! DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!!
