I've stayed in premier inns often over the years but never have I had such a poor sleep or service. There was an evacuation at 0345 which granted is never going to get much support however, before this the level of music coming from the end of the hall was ridiculous. I was on the 10th floor and surprised the reception desk couldn't hear it on the ground floor. In addition the load voices and shouting did nothing to help me sleep. Not long after I informed the reception desk of the noise than the group dispersed, shouting as they went. I then got some sleep at 2am. During the evacuation there was not a member if the team visible anywhere. There were children freezing in the winds and the Lear a company the size of this should be doing is going around reassuring people an offering disposable rain jackets or thermal blankets whatever is required for the conditions. After the evacuation the same group reconvened their party for another hour. All this causing me to sleep in. Really they shoul have a night porter patrolling the corridors like every other hotel.

Thank you for reviewing your recent stay at our hotel. At Premier Inn we always strive to provide customers with a comfortable stay, and I apologise that on this occasion your stay was less than relaxing.

Our Fire Alarm was activated during the night due to someone tampering with the fire detection equipment in their bedroom, this was identified and dealt with at the time. Please be assured our Team were doing their best during the evacuation to assist guests and the fire brigade as well as do their best for a safe and efficient resolution.

I also apologise that you were kept awake by noise coming from a room in your floor. Our team do regular patrols of the corridors and do their best to control anything that may disturb other guests during the night. With being the festive season we did have an extra person on duty, however I apologise that we did not manage to control this on your floor.

Thank you again for taking the time to write your view and if you would like me to look further in to this for you please feel free to get in contact with me quoting your reservation number.

Kind Regards,

Jamie Cattigan

I guess how you rate this hotel depends on the price you have paid which can vary a lot.........if booked well in advance rooms can be picked up for as little as £25(we paid £29)which for a clean room in Glasgow is amazing.
We normally stay at the newer flagship Buchanan Galleries Premier Inn and pay about £39 a night for a Thursday and or Friday.

This was booked about a month in advance and was ecxellent in every way.........a 10 minute walk to the heart of Glasgow city centre down one of its most famous and interesting streets(Sauchiehall Street) its perfect for a visit to Glasgow and also very handy for the Kings theatre or the)2.........it also has a tube station right next door.

Buchanan Galleries is still our first choice but would not hesitate to stay here again if prices were to high there for the nights we want.

I guess if i had paid £100 plus for this room i might have a couple of very minor complaints...but for £29 none what so ever...........breakfast was also excellent

As usual I pretty much enjoyed my stay at the premier inn. As always the staff were friendly, the room was pretty nice. It as also a ideal location for travelers
if you are by car it is situated right next to the M8 motorway(don`t worry you won`t hear a thing from inside the room)also if you are by train it is literally five steps away from Charing cross station. Not a massive place(the station) but it does give you a regular connection to Glasgow`s Queen.st station. And of course the breakfast buffet is legendary. Unfortunatley this in not a ideal place to spend a day in(no pool,no gym etc). Enjoy your stay!

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel bed was comfortable room was very large and the staff at front desk couldn't have been more helpful, price was fairly cheap, great for reaching the city centre and close to the secc. Would stay again!
