“Fantastic Stay”
Reviewed 20 January 2014

We had a fantastic offer for this hotel which we had to try, and we were not disappointed infact we had a better stay here than the Hilton across the road, the staff are the friendliest we have encountered in all our hotel stays, I would not hesitate recommending this hotel, if you have any quips tell the staff & they will sort it immediately, the showers in this Premier Inn are infact Premier, best hotel shower we have used.

The room was so cold I kept waking up throughout the night. There were no extra blankets available. The heating didn't seem to work and even the small electric heater provided didn't make any difference.

Excellent stay, situated very near the main shopping area of Glasgow, very comfortable hotel at the Premier Inn, friendly staff, great food. A great hotel for visiting Glasgow for concerts, as this hotel is walking distance from the main venues in Glasgow for gigs. Also handy for the many restaurants and bars to eat at.

Myself and my partner stayed here for the one night - chosen for its great location near Sauchiehall Street.

We were in room 1124 on the 11th floor (facing north), the room was quite small but clean & tidy except a few dirty marks in the sink. There was a few issues which I wrote on the comment card & handed into staff when leaving. Table lamp broken, bedside light fitting loose and when the hot water boiler went on (not sure where exactly) around 4am it could be heard in the room. As I am a light sleeper I didn't sleep well. :(

My main reason for writing this review is there is no parking on-site (it is mentioned on their website but in small print under the directions info: Parking is located in the Glasgow city council car park next to the hotel on Elmbank Crescent. Charges apply, a discounted rate is available for hotel guests (£12 per 24hrs) which must be organised at reception) we did not know this on arrival so my partner waited in the car while I went into enquire. We were informed my the staff we did not need their discount as its cheaper to park on a Sun and were £9.30 from Sat at 15:44 to Sun at 14:24.

The staff were great, very friendly and helpful.

Would stay here again!!

Thanks for your feedback and your comments regarding the team, they will be delighted to receive your feedback. At Premier Inn we endeavour to offer the best value quality stay. While we would like to offer free parking at all our hotels, this is sometimes not possible. We do try to make this as clear as possible on our website and where there are additional charges we suggest contacting the hotel direct to verify arrangements and costs. Thank you for your feedback and for taking the time to review our hotel. We hope to welcome you back to Premier Inn again in the near future.

As always with premier inn I had a good stay. Considering I only paid £25 for the night was well worth it. Had a room on the 11th floor fantastic views and no issue with traffic as mentioned on other reviews. Staff friendly, bar nice. Didn't try the restaurant as too many good restaurants round about. good location and about a 10 min walk to Buchanan galleries.

This was a perfect base for a city break, within walking distance of Galleries, Museums, the Royal Concert Hall and terrific shopping. Warm and welcoming staff and an immaculate quiet, warm room. Lovely!

Only stayed here for one night as we were attending a concert at the hydro in Glasgow. The room was spotlessly clean and the bed very comfortable. The staff were helpful, especially the lady at check in. Didn't use restaurant or bar facilities.
