“Interesting tour with a great guide”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 September 2013 via mobile

We took the guided tour of Hamden stadium mainly for my husband. We turned up a few minutes after the tour had started and the woman on the front desk, Louise, was kind enough to radio the tour guide and ask him to wait for a minute whilst our tickets were sorted.

Our tour guide was Stuart. He did an excellent job throughout. Funny, friendly and informative. He was also very helpful in advising us of the best bus route into town when the tour was over. The tour covers mainly football history relating to the stadium and the history of the stadium. It also covers some of the large concerts the venue had hosted. The tour takes you inside both changing rooms, referees room, warm up area (where you get to have a shot at goal) and out into the stadium. Lots of good photo opportunities throughout. You are allowed to take photos throughout apart from the underground car park (although I doubt most people would want a picture of that anyway).

The tour ticket we brought covered the tour plus access to the museum. Normally would have been £10 each but we got a 2 for 1 offer thanks to a leaflet picked up at the tourist information centre in town, making it better value.

“An Amazing Place”

Conducted my son's wedding here and the staff were brilliant. Good, hot, food was served, and nothing was a problem. The chance to see the Scottish Football Museum was a bonus. Recommended!

Saw Bon Jovi here last month. We were in the Golden circle near the front yet the only toilets available to us were miles away at the back of the stadium, the toilets nearest us were reserved for Diamond ticket holders. It was utterly ridiculous. The staff on the day were rude and unhelpful and as a venue to listen to music in I would say Hampden is one of the worst experiences I have had so far. Ibrox and Murryfield were miles ahead in terms of sound and facilities.

“ACDC Good - Hampden Bad”

We were stuck up in the rafters for the ACDC gig and the sound waves were bouncing all over the place distorting the sound.

“Hmmmm not good area”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 July 2013

We attended Hampden to see Bon Jovi this year the stadium is nice inside and the stewards and security were very good but the area outside was not nice at all. we walked back to town as our hotel was 30 mins away some parts would have felt a little risky if there would not have been so many people around bit of an odd place for a Stadium really....
