“Stunning building with interesting contents”

This is a great day out. There is a strong theme of social history running through this museum so it would be of interest to everyone, not just those who love vehicles. There are quite a few hands-on exhibits for kids too. Plus it's free!

“WORTH A VISIT”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 November 2013

What an interesting museum especially the many different types of transport displayed in an interesting way. The small rooms had many unusual items and interesting facts. There were school trips at the time of our visit so it's a must for all ages.

“Interesting for 3 generations and potentially for free!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 November 2013

One of best free experiences in Glasgow. Vast array of interesting vehicles, cycles and model ships of all sorts displayed in the most wonderful building of the last decade built in Scotland. Every vista from inside and outside building stunning. Hands on displays interesting for young and old alike. Been now on several occasions and see something new each time. Cafe excellent and note others comments re price. Given that the rest of the experience is absolutely free forgive them for charging a little more for fresh and interesting food! The view from the cafe is worth every penny alone!

“great day out”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 November 2013

went here recently with my 3 young grandchildren and we all loved it. They loved all the interactive displays and quizzes. They also loved the indoor street with its little shops, going on the tram cars. They also loved the ships and all the old cars that were on display. I was able to tell them a great deal about the displays and about their shipbuilding heritage on the clyde. A great way to spend a few hours in this cold weather. Well worth a visit for any age - old or young everyone will get something from their visit.
