We were the only visitors, arriving as it opened. The guide was terrific...well informed and enthusiastic about his subject. It is hard for North Americans to believe the age and history of such old buildings. Very interesting.

Very interesting visit to Provands lordship which is interesting and well maintained. Just across the road is excellent Cathedral centre with a good cafe, shop and St Mungos museum (interesting displays & great views of the Necropilis) and a short walk across the square to the Cathedral which is stunning inside with another shop and very helpful guides. A brilliant area with easy parking and all free entries. Only drawback was lots of stairs so not all suitable for disabled (lift in cathedral centre)

Across the street from the Cathedral. Don't miss it! This is the oldest house in Glasgow. The walls are over a foot thick. It exudes history. And it is free (donations welcome).

A wee gem, very interesting to see, everything as it was when it was built. A stunning garden which is a great contrast from the house, very peaceful. Well worth a visit.

Visited as part of a day long treasure hunt which included the cathedral and kelvingrove. Would have liked more time to look around.
